@mixin - Whaaaaaaat! Where did you get your stats mate? Maybe you are using a P1 processor on your Desktop ??? (just kidding). Well, honestly I've been active for about 3 days now after almost 1.5 months in hiatus/hibernation! I guess it's @kimcheeboi who is 'one' of the most active here nowadays, since I last joined the discussion (regular basis) in April 12th. But I'll be off by August 26th as our housemaid will be going on vacation - me, back to doing housechores then. . . .

well from personal observations the i think the apparent lul is due to a larger proportion of the daily post count going to more threads with a specific audience (e.g. Pinas EB, Pinoy, UK Users, Chain Game and the like), or threads started by newer members re-hashing old ground. i've also noticed a few cries for help going unanswered due to time-zone differences.

@gelfen - when are you going to make such stats-reports just like when you did back then, e.g. 'how many gifts santa will dole out during christmas time' etc. I really miss those mind-boggling precise calculations of yours mate ! See ya ! |

@gelfen - WHAAAAAT ? You mean to say you are not the one held responisble for doing those? Just one of those everyday forwarded mails ??? I thought you are an Einstein by birth . . . Well, I will just constantly be waiting for them mate! |

i'm pretty sure i mentioned it once before. the santa one was pretty old actually, although i did run through the maths myself once in high school...
i'll let you in on a secret. i actually am an "Einstein" by birth but i hide behind a cunningly crafted web of mediocrity so others don't feel uncomfortably inadequate in the presence of my stupendous intellect.

Like anything else, nothing is constant. The number of postings depends on a lot of factors (new SE models, rumors of new SE models, new competing models from other manufacturers, etc.)
Was looking at the posting rate in the same period last year and i'd say that it doesn't differ much. It's a bit lower but not substantially.
Here, take a look at it yourself.

Mind you, there's no relation between quantity and quality of posts. |

Exactly! That's why the forum seems more quiet.. I mean maybe the topics are more but less interesting..
...I'm frightened by what I see but somehow I know that there's much more to come. Immobilized by my fear and soon to be blinded by tears. I know I can stop the pain if I will it all away... |

last year in this period the T610 was just released. i would have thought there would have been slightly more posts then..... however EVERYBODY was interested in every bit of news about the T610..... hence there was simply more excitement

It seems like everyone is upgrading their phones at the same time because se are releasing similar models about a year apart. So the t610 crew are now bored with their phone. Myself, i hardly download anything at the mo cos i've pretty much wore my phone out. When the k700 arrives alot will upgrade and there'll be questions and downloads and lots of people requesting things to customise their phone with.
