I bought this phone in Malaysia. They claimed that they sell phone with original battery but it's not. But the price offered was cheap. By the way, thank you very much Laffen for the web site. I will get one original battery in Singapore. One question here, Does the ultra slim battery BUS-11 really last for 11 days? The current battery that I am using right now really pissed me off..hehe

Not for me. It last for about 4-6 days. This is with "normal" use. 2-3 calls a day, and a couple of SMS. But this is good enough for me

Laffen, do you know how to forward picture message? And are you saying that you are using BUS-10 last for about 4-6 days?

@gavinwys

I am of course not using the T39 now after I got the T68. But yes, the T39 battery did last for 4-6 days. The battery capacity for the T68 is beyond the T39's, but the T68 do last for at least 4 days as well. I usually use (WAP'ing, girlfried) the phone from home, and have no idea how close I am to a base station.

Hey

I Agree with Zucchini, and I too want to know... for long battery life with consistent performance throughout life of battery, what is recommended regime? I suppose the question is, how many charge cycles is the design spec of the battery? 200? 500? Nokia 8850 battery life noticably deteriorated after about a year. I read in some forum that 300 charge cycles was what you would expect before noticing declining performance, i.e one charge a day for a year. My basic regime was just plug it in at night and unplug it in the morning, regardless how much I used it. Seems that was a bad idea?

george, from what i know, it is actually a good idea to charge your battery whenever possible.. so i assume it is best if we always maintain it at 100%, so get one extra charger and put it in your office.

I am coming back from Italy Modena,Milano,Rome and there my battery only could be used 2 days, everything exactly as in Spain no changes,peolple were surprised with my 4 days here in Spain, I noticed a very low reception in Italy you can`t talk in any restaurant or comercial center,yhe same with a 8210, T39 etc. maybe that is the reason ,so everything depends on the country you live.

Bad coverage => high power needed when signalling with base station => low battery lifetime

I have about 1 week of battery (estimated from the two days I haven't wapped at all) when not wpping/surfing heavily and speaking about 0,5 to 1 hour a day. When I wap a lot and have GPRS connected from charge-to-charge, I am down to about 48 hours of battery time

JHB : It doesnt matter if you use gprs.
Gprs itself has no influence on battery.

This can be read on Sonyericsson's FAQ's.

-----------------------------
It was said in the beginning, that gprs lowered the battery-standby by some 30 percent.
I was told this too,..bur its not true,..my battery-standby on T-68 is around 345 hours with gprs on all the time.
I had the T-39 before, no change in battery-standby either.
