I've pulled apart every phone I've ever owned (and quite a few I didn't own). Never had any problems, infact fix them often...

hey...
i tried removing the case...
and i was wondering....
what does the infrared port look like? there isnt anything inside the gap of where it is. i wasnt sure if i lost it...ahaha

The plastic at the top end of the phone is thinner and this is where the IR port is.

Tough Phones these T610's ey, But I am spewing, I broke the freakn screen so now it might cost me $70 (AU) to repair it,. I still cant take off the top back cover, I am paranoid of braking it, hehe

Great guide solved a big problem the top piece a the rear of the phone does come off easier if you remove the silver lense cover first it pulls off

Thanks for the tutorial. I took my t616 apart after I dropped it and it wouldn't charge anymore. Figuring I had nothing to loose by opening it up, I took it apart and found that a little piece of dirt (I guess) had wedged it self between the charging contacts inside the phone. I Scrapped it clean with an X-Acto knife, put the phone back together and now it works like a charm. Saved myself a couple of $100.-
I really appreciatte the clear tutorial, I had in the past tried to open it up to get some dust out from under the screen, but couldn't figure out how to do it.
