Hello!
I will buy a nec e616 soon and I don't know if it's a good choice. What do you think about my choice?!

Ive yet to test the MP3 function as I have no data cable or s/w for it, and to be honset I dont want to waste the money in buying it, as I hardly use it!!

Well, I got an NEC 616 for the wifeon 3 in UK
1) its take Sony Duos. Find it easier to put MS in PC card reader and download mp3's as some of the bigger ones (e.g. 3.5MB) it will play but won't download
2) the thing eats batteries. Had the software reflashed at CPW and the guy said should increase life by 40%...
3) previous phone software allowed mp3 ringtones. Latest phone will only allow selection from download folder so I guess no freebie ringtones anymore
4) lots of strange bugs with the phone. If you like calling customer services in India this is the phone for you

@chirriso: i'm here in sweden and 3 is going to release an updated e616 called e616 extreme, which will have a duo card and better battery life. I suggest you wait a bit for it.

Buy Z1010 instead, same price right now. Or a Motorola A925 for 650 kr, real crazy prices right now at 3. |
