Yes, the intentional purpose for the Gargage forum was to have a place where moderators could move garbage posts. It was never ment as a starting point for new topics.
One way to limit the number of these kind of posts is to report only up to 500 posts. If a member have posted more than 500 messages, the "number of posts" status for the member only states 500+ |

laffen, is it difficult to make a change so that nobody can start a topic in the garbage thread section, but the mods can still move topics there?

it would be impossible to do that for you cannot stop other memebers from posting what they wanted to post, that's democracy and freedom of speech. esato is not a commie or a totalitarian forum right? it is impossible that most of the guys with more than 10 posts here did not at one time post anything that is crap. "the one with no sin should cast the first stone". anyone? |

Writing something stupid can happen to everyone.But some topic titles are really stupid for people like me who visit the forum also from a mobile.It costs a lot reading posts like.my upgrade is here and then see it was ment for MCA owners.Also remember that every comment is a single page on WAP,so all useless posts make it impossible to read a topic correctly.

@Eamonn: hahahaha, I'm glad to see you refer to yourself as the "king"  I wasn't really talking about you, there are many others... It should be called the Kingdom of Garbage threads 
I'm also talking about old posts like: "T68i will come out in March" I don't think anyone really reads them anymore and they could be deleted. When I first visited the site there were about ten pages! Now there are over a hundred on the general page alone. I'm sure half of them if not more are just repeats, one post topics that are unanswered....
It makes it that the search options doesn't even work anymore... Has anyone tried using it? You get more topics than there were in the first place!
@Laffen: I think the 500+ thing is a wonderful idea! And maybe a little thing showing where most of that persons posts are (like a bin next to his name for Garbage )
