I use GPRS from my T65 in Finland (basic fee, 0,01 €/kb) for checking Cinemas, News (also of the country where I come from ... Italy), but sometimes I experience trouble during the navigation ... could it be that they have some kind of Nokias friendly WAP system? |

I wouldn't think so. Since these things follow standards. Though interworking problems may still exist, if one of the element is not fully compliant with the standard. So you might want to upgrade the software of your phone.
But your trouble might just be due to radio conditions. |

Hi there can't you just phone up your sp and get them to send you the settings by sms? That's what Voda do here - if not they can always tell you them over the phone?

I pay approx. £18 for 20 mb per month. My operator is NetCom. Use GPRS to check mail, wap and some webbrowsing.

There are rumors that Globe will start charging GPRS by July.

Well it's free to go on the GPRS Starter Plan but you pay about £20/mb which is very expensive. The next one is GPRS1 which is about £7/month with 1 mb of free data with addittional mb's costing about £5. The GPRS5 works at about £15/month (excluding VAT) and you get 5/mb's free/month and then there's the GPRS15 which is about£25/month (excluding VAT) where you get 15mb's free/month. On GPRS 5 each addittional mb is about £3 and on GPRS15 it's about £1.70
I think the GPRS5 is adequate for anyone not using their phone via laptop etc and GPRS1 if you don't use wap that much.
God I sound like a Vodafone sales assistant (actually maybe not 'cause they don't bugger all about GPRS or most other services they offer).
Hope this helps.

I use gprs every day.
Sometimes to check the forecast, sometimes to look at movie trailers, sometimes to download backgrounds.. sometimes just cruising around, like on the internet.. because gprs is free!!!
Steals some battery time though
