ive worked hard for the things i have. if some scumbag loser thought he could try just walking up to me and take anything he wanted.... i would not let him. let them do it once, and they would keep doing it, to an old grandmother, a father with a heart condition.... you get my point.

So you would risk your LIFE just so that your personal items stay intact. Most people have worked hard for what they own, but i doubt many would risk there life to protect them.

if you are an able/fit adult, you should stand up to them and make the first move, its not that fact so much that theyd be running off with my phone, its the fact that there running off to find there next victim who might well be old and frail and dont have a chance.

If they are unarmed it might be an option to stand up to them, but if they have a weapon, gun or knife, there is no point in risking your life, not many fit people would be willing or have the ablity to take on a maniac with a knife.

let alone a maniac with a gun. I too work hard for my stuff and I'm proud to have it. I'm healthy and able enough to hit somebody should need be. But I won't get myself killed over a phone, or even my car. It's not worth it, as not only will I be dead but my family and bf will be traumatized (my dad may well be in a murderous spirit for that matter)... all that over a PHONE??!

it's only a phone. 30 euros will buy you a new one.

a 'them or me' situation is a 'dead or alive' situation in my dictionary.
Somebody stealing your phone, car-radio or wallet is not a dead or alive situation.

Ever been mugged?
Ever had somebody set a knife on your throat?
Lemme tell you: the first thing on your mind is not 'how to be a hero'... it's 'how to get out of this'

i actually got mugged at knifepoint at a parking lot somewhere last year! the f*cker told me to hand over my phone and wallet but i wasn't about to give up without a fight. everything happened so fast and all i cud remember was i kicked him real hard where the sun don't shine!! he got away with some cash and i was left with a deep cut on my hand, blood oozing out. it was nasty! the whole thing was very surreal, its like watching reality cop tv show or something, only not. and no, its not about being a hero or what, its just that when u are in that sorta situation, u kinda react to your instincts.
so i really feel for that guy... .

@mugger: I HOPE U BURN IN HELL!!!!!

Nice one !

Seriously tho,
yEah, granted, its only a NOkia, but NOT all of us are lucky enuf to own a P900 ok? The guy could have been poor and must have taken a long time to get enuf money to buy that phone. To u, or us for that matter, it may be a cheapo phone, but to the poor fella, it prolly meant blood and sweat ... Life ain't fair ... Muggers and all the other scum of the earth shud be put in a dark place, with flesh eating bugs and left to rot in their own excreament

Scumbags

I once got jumped for a T68i after leaving a club one night as the guy demanded the phone I went to offer it him but at the same time smashed it to the floor it busted into a thousand pieces. Ok so I lost the phone but at least I had the satisfication of knowing that neither did the scumbag getting it Infact he was so amazed that it gave me time to administer enough pain for him to remeber me with.

Still dodgy taking on some one who is armed in some way though
Due to cut backs the light at the end of the tunnel has had to be temporarily switched off.

Feel sorry for you dude, but would you act the same again, or next time would you hand over without a fight, as imagine if it had been your neck or wrist that had been cut, you could have been a lot worse off.
