and restaurants
In fact one of my fav places in Amsterdam does have a policy of... 'calling outside' if you really MUST use your phone
ahh... undisturbed dinner
it's not that ppl call in public that annoys me, it's the sheer shallowness and emptiness of the conversations.
Stuff like 'hi hunnybunny I'm on the train..'
'...' 'nono the train is not moving yet' '...' 'nono you cook dinner' '....' 'no hunnybunny you cook dinner' '...' (repeat 10 times)
'i love you too hunnybunny' '....' 'i love you more' '....' 'no I love YOU more!' '...' (repeat 12 times)
I mean... i have no problems with ppl calling and telling the other party they'll be late coz the train is delayed.... but why all this nonsense that NOBODY wants to hear?
by now our railways have introduced 'silent' wagons, cell phone use not allowed....
Guess where I'm sitting.

Then you get those who are using earpieces: peopel seem to tend to speak louder when using the type that just go in their ear. I know that I often do. My employees often make shushing sounds to me. |

Eh, you should get an earboom, then, rather than an earbud.

Considering that the US frequencies are 850 and 1900, why in the hell don't the jammer cover this instead of 800? What uses 800? (Thanks to slamEvil for mentioning this point, I didn't catch it until now)

@rdnymllnsktr - nextell's push to talk (or whatever they call it) use 800. but if i recall correctly, i think this is also the frequency that emergency services use. which, is why i think it could be illegal.

Another big thing is that it is illegal to block an transmission without a court order. There is an actual law that says that we have the right to receive any transmission. The transmissions can be encrypted, but we can still receive them. Cannot jam them, though. |
