@Krubach, that icon is for the Phone Connection Monitor rather than Mobile Phone Monitor. Phone connection monitor is only installed for P800/P900 synchronisations and is not part of the T/Z series sync software.
Indeed that icon was also used when I had my old Psion series 5 and installed its sync software

Ok guys, thx so mutch, but i still can't send pics to my pc, MPM is ok, everything goes correctly except sending pics from phone to FMA. I don't understand!!! I always got the same message " not device connected even if i can send from pc! who knows? |

All are very helpfull, but not so much i whould like, 'cause still having probs with this silly bloody obex.
Get this message: Obex files not supported.
Should i set something else in Options i forgott?? Plz help me, it's becoming little boring since 4days tryin'. |

re OBEX problem
can you please tell me exactly what you're doing in fMA when this problem occurs? there are fMA functions that generates the same error because the t68 doesn't support these functions.
re MPM and fMA
i think you're problem is due to MPM and fMA trying to use the same port - the IrDA port. since you only have one communication port, there's no use trying to run MPM and fMA at the same time.

Yo GOwin, maybe you'll exhausted but :when i connect to FMA, after terminating synchro, i can't send pics from phone to pc simply 'cause obex isn't in fonction (got a red cross on obex files), and concerning mpm, it doesn't run at the same time. FMA works correctly, i can do the whole synchro but not for ringtones or pics! I don't understand..

As me, everithing goes except sending pics from phone to pc. WHY??
FMA's boring a lot, maybe it works well, but only if you're lucky one.

wait a minute. i thought you were asking what program to use when sending objects from PC to phone (one answer to which is fMA). And now, it seems that your problem actually occurs when you send from Phone to PC.
Again, to send files from PC->Phone with fMA running and connected to the phone. Just click on Action from the menu, then select Upload. Choose a file (pic, ringtone, vnote, etc) to send to your phone. Then check your phone for confirmation.
To send objects from Phone->PC you don't need fMA at all. Just turn on your PC's IR and from the phone, send the object (pic, tone, etc) via infrared.
OBEX folders in fMA
it doesn't work for the t68. that's a functon for the t610 and other phones.

First: Yes i wanna send pics from phone to pc, with FMA, 'cause from pc to phone all the S.E. stuffs go well and i 've read that i only can do that with FMA.
Second: When i use S.E. 'My pictures' (the former image editor, for t68I...), i can send pics or ringtones from pc to phone correctly. And when connecting to phone, i can read the message "obex 's now sending files.." so, obex is also used by "My Pictures" as well and it goes well.
Third, Obex do not work with FMA but do with S.E. stuffs for my T68i, so Obex works with T68i???
Forth: when i wanna send pics from phone to pc, and, as you say, without any need of prog, i got on my phone screen this message "can't find any stuff", so ...
I'm a little bit confused, S.E. stuffs go well and correctly, IrDa goes well too (cause i can exchange files), Obex works well with T68i in S.E. progr, but i can't use it with FMA, and i can't send pics from phone 'cause no material 's detected by him.
Hoping i'm bright and clear 'cause it's boring me a lot, and maybe are you loosing time... So, thx you so much.

GOwin was right. To send a stuff from your t68i to pc, you dont need any software at all, just send from phone by beam both irda. Try to send other stuff from your phone (eg. pic, ringtones, or voice recorded). If this still does not work, maybe there is a conflict with your windows 98 os.

first, try to uninstall the sw you have installed one by one, (the sw related to your t68i), do this by try and error. If this still doesn't help then it must be a crash registry with you win98. At last the only way you can do is delete your win98 and star to re-install a fresh new win98 os. You dont have to reformat the whole harddisk, just delete the windows folder. And remember!!, do this if you only have a win98 cd, win98 startup diskette and your pc drivers cd (or recovery cd from your pc vendor).

Hi all, last news from a mistified IrDA user...
So much problems with my device from sending pics from phone to pc. The IrDA manufactur says i may use it with win98. it's complitely fals,, no way tryin' caus it don't work with. I've tcheked it with a removed 98, and didn't worked at all, so i've tcheked with xp, and worked perfectly. All these tryin with my own pc laptop.
IrDA Sigmatel DO NOT WORK WITH WINDOWS 98, and SIGMATEL ARE THE BEST LIERS I'VE EVER HEARD!
