I only experience re-starts on two instances:
a) during GPRS connections - while WAPping from the phone or while connected to a PC/PDA
b) while typing SMS messages - i think this is an old problem. after composing (and sending) several SMS, the phone will just suddenly re-start.
My FW is R4A008, and HW is R1B. (I used to have R2G, and never experienced instance "a" before the upgrade to my current FW version) |

Is there any where you can get the software upgrade for T39 in the net? |

@Gowin:
When I have resets, I am using GPRS over IrDa modem with my PC. Have you heard of someone having the same problem using instead of the IrDa, the data cable for using the modem in the phone? |

@ibaboun
i've had the same problem whether it's IrDA (on my notebook) or via Cable! Did you notice that the reset usually happens when you're getting a big amount of data (like having several web sites open)? |

hmm, now were going somewhere. so do you think it's just a hardware problem?
it's kinda like being choked with too much data and that causes the phone to reboot. |

Have you heard about this problem with t68 user. I really think it is a hardware problem of all T39. I am using my third T39M, and all have the same reseting problems. |

@ibaboun
i havent heard about T68 users complaining about their phones "choking" with big data like ours. what i know is that they're also complaining about unstable GPRS, unidentified cause. |

i consider it unstable when the phone reboots (which only happens when i am using GPRS) |

On graphics-intensive sites my T39m (R4A firmware, R3B hardware, 02W09 manufactured) sometimes either hangs or restarts when using the WAP browser. It's very stable, however, when browsing internet on a Palm via IR & GPRS. It seems the instability has to do with the WAP browser, not with the GPRS. |
