Latest Software Versions for T39 |

Hi, what is the latest software version for the T39 and what are the new improvements compared to the older versions such as R2A? I just upgraded to R4A but could not detect any differences, except that the secret snake game could not be accessed using 3*2 anymore!
Anyone using R4A here and what are the improvements? |

Thanx for the info. Could you please explain the differences between this R4A vs the older R2A? I've just upgraded to R4A008 and read in this forum about some software problems regarding this new version. I'm getting my Palm m505 back in these couple of days and would like to continue using the T39 to connect to the Avantgo server. Would this new version give any problems? |

Nizzy, yup, I got it downloaded at Amcorp. It only takes about 30 mins to do it. So far, I can't really notice much difference yet. |

clody, some say the SMS speed has improved but I can hardly notice it. Even if it has improved, it still has much more room for improvement!! |

In the USA, SonyEricsson just upgraded my T39 with R4A008. To get the the Snake game with this version, type 7 8 9 at the Erix start screen.

Mine came with R4A as well and I too have problems with site whth much graphics, like the logopage here. I also have problems with standbytime after i've used my palm to surf, it shows way too low. And, yes, I shut down both IR and GPRS.

There are some users here who reported unstable usage after the upgrade.
I would recommend that you do a master reset, but only after you backed-up your phone!!! (Don't say I didnt warn you on this, a reset will erase all your data. So follow the procedures properly.)

Not that Im unhappy with my t39m, just that it restarts much too often. It happens once in a while, should be none in my opinion.
And for standbytime, I just turn it off and turn it back on and it's fixed, maybe it's just one of those easy bugs. |
