I am just wondering if it is because the links in the main card just specify "#view" as the destination.

COuld you try something like "./forums2.php#view" ?

Just a thought!

Nope it's not that...that's very commonly used, I'm sure evn the Esato wap has it done that way!

It's got to do with the forms and variable transfer int he script, I can fix it...

I'll post a message when it's updated!

D@mn if only all phone browsers had standards no WAP 1.0 browser operates exactly the same...

Maybe I should just make an XML version, it would be so much easier!...all new phones are XML too...
But my goal is to make it work on ALL phone browsers!

-----Edit----

to simulate a variable to see what one of the pages would look like when opened type this:
forums2.php?action=last5#view

I will admit that I gave up using multiple cards some time ago!

Too many problems.

Nowadays I just use one card and everything seems to work fine. Multiple variables seem fine in that "mode"

Just a thought!

Sorry - I don't think this has anything to do with passing variables as such.

I think what is happening is exactly what is supposed to happen - when the link is just "#card" then the browser goes to the CURRENT DECK and selects the specified card.

This is exactly what the spec says!

Just a thought!

uh, yeah some...still no fix for that one error (that'll be next)

It's got all the basic view functions down...I've tried to code it best for viewing it compact, yet with detail as you would see in a real forum.

Also, In my next update I will have a text limit (trail off) for messages when viewing in certain areas of the script...I may release my first public copy in this next update!!!

I'll try it then!

Thanks for your interest!

Ok, ok...I guess I'l release it now...

This version does not have the advanced trail-off as I plan (where it wouldn't cut off whole words)
but it does have a simple version of it...
It has everything fixed (yes it now works with those other browsers)
and etc.
even my picky samsung will still show the script!!!

here it is:
http://www.sentertainment.net/WAPIPBScript_v0_1.zip

This version is an Public Alpha v0.1 as it is my first public release, yet I have lots of future scripting plans!

So far it has complete viewing capabilities and some nice options for customizability, but it cannot write posts yet...this is my next huge step in this project!

v0.2 is complete!!!

I finally found out the error and I got it fixed, plus added that advanced cut-off to the messages!

It works perfectly!!! even Klondike WAP browser displays it!
(except the color smilies don't look right under klondike since it's meant for B&W)

(Believe it or not, I spent hours trying to figure out the error)

I put up an open directory on my site for it!
