l've got to say i'm very supprised if the cases of the t610 and t630 cant be switched! it just doesn't make sense for SE to make 2 identical boards but with different dimensions!
i'm sure it could be done! wish i had a t630 cos i've got an old 610 thats in peices upstairs.

Bump. Has anyone done this yet? It should be possible. I want the T630 inside the T610.

t630 and t610 are fully compatible. t610+tft lcd+fw=t630.

I may well have one! I'll know when I get it today or tomorrow. I sent a T610 away to GBrooks on SE-NSE to get it's firmware updated, and he very kindly put a T630 LCD on it, and the only way that that LCD would work is with T630 firmware! I'll post pics if that is what I get

It hasn't come today, hopefully I'll get it tomorrow

Yep, T630 screens area available off Ebay, about £30 (there's one HERE for example), then you need to flash the phone with T630 firmware, someone's giving away the software for doing that for free on SE-NSE, the only thing you need is the flash file, which someone on that site will give you if you pm them

The T610/T630 hybrid arrived today!

As requested, here are some pictures:

It has T630 firmware and a T630 LCD, but the actual PCB and obviously casing are T610. Works really well!

Cool. Your T625 looks good

IMO the good looks of the T610 with the better screen of the T630 + My Friends. Excellent!

Thanks Sammy.

Much better I think! I might even use it as my main phone for a while, though due to increasingly bad cashflow at the mo I may, repeat MAY, be selling it in the not-too distant future

One problem I've noticed though is it does take rather a long time to save a picture when taken in 'extended' (640 x 480) mode, probably up to 15 seconds. I'm not sure if it took that long in a 'normal' T630? (I've never owned one)
