Well, my broder was lucky once. He dropped his t68 in some water on some schooltrip, and it worked fine a few days later all though it was turned on. |

Mine was also turned on
I´m afraid it had some short circuit
Nevertheless i will wait some more days to dry ir completely and then i´ll go to a repair shop...if it can´t be repaired i´ll try to sell the battery and the charger and buy another t610 - i was in love with the phone, the best i ever had.

Well my friend dropped her phone (a Nokia 8250) into the washing machine once... Not sure how similar this situation would be to yours (since we all have SE phones) but she had to take apart everything and let them all dry for about three days before everything was fully functional again... So maybe give it more time and hopefully it'll work out for you! |

You guys may not believe. I've dropped my t610 from my room in level 7 to B2 hard floor, it's bounced up sometimes and fall into the sewer near there. I've found it may be after 6 or 7hours later, so it was in the water for such a long time.
When I found it, it's almost tear apart. I've brought it up, put it there for 2 days for all the water in it dried up.
When I turned it on, the screen was very dark, I've hardly seen anything on the screen. I put the SIM in it, it could not dectect the SIM, I thought my fone was totally dead. But I try and try some times, amazingly, the screen was just as normal, but it still could not detect the SIM.
I brought it to the service center, they cleaned it up for me, and you guess what, it is working perfectly!!!! Now, my fone is not in a rectangle shape, the red foreface dropped out, the battery is bent...but it is working!!!! AMAZING SONY ERICSSON!!!

all that shit about the phone being dead after water damage is bullshit. I have repaired waterdamaged phones several times!!! THe most i have had to do is change the battery! I have a P800 which i through in the water for 20 minutes, claimed my water damage insurence and then repaired it and sold it....
there has only been one phone that i couldn't repair, but it had been dead for one year.... |

hey guys thats a story, fortunatly mine was a potential incident but fortunately i was just a little fright
i was texting on my p800 sitting on the breakfast table in the morning with my coffe underneath on the table, the p800 slipped, i tried to grab it but NO!
it fell into my coffee cup and tip over as well it happened so fast
it fell on its back to the table (luckily) but with coffee juice runnung streams underneath it,
i got it up quick started to wipe it and got it sorted,, few scary stuff.
a few hours later i went to the cup to see why it did not go all the way in, because it fell with dead aim in to the cup but did not go get wet elsewhere on the phone.
next thing i realise the phone was big
and the cup gets smaller down its depth, it stopped and tipped as it came down,
it had as i remember a little less than half full of coffee in the mug.
