Thanks everyone for turning my post into a place where some UK citizens can finally boast around about how wonderful it is to be one and telling others about their inferiority, including the US as one of the least advanced countries considering mobile technology. It may be even true, but doesn't solve my problem and gives me no advice. Btw, living in Poland is quite pleasant and calling it "a crap country" tells us more about ignorance of the one who uses such words rather than about the country itself. Come and see and change your mind, because not having P900 is just a slight disadvantage, well compensated by other good things, which the country is full of.

As to 6600, I don't think it could meet my expectations. I've just read an interesting test on a Polish site and feel its abilities are too small in every aspect. It's just a toy and I want sth useful and practical. As to the price, 6600 with no contract costs about $1000, which is in fact the money you pay for a P900 here. My operator is offering it now for $120 with a 2 year contract/$40 monthly(200 minutes included).

To AVRAFC: You just made me register just to scream at you. But I just realized you were only 14 and am not going to do so. But listen kid, before you speak disparagingly about any other country, realize that there are others in the world that think the same about your own country. I personally just moved from the US to Poland. I have also lived in the UK a long time back. I thus have the first hand knowledge to emphatically state that Poland is anything but "Crap". In fact, there is very little the UK or US has that Poland does not. The P900 in question might be a little less accessible to people here than in the UK, but it is very much available here. So it's a little more costly here, but know what.. the money that I save in ONE MONTH on cigarettes over your ridiculous UK prices, would make up for that difference! LOL

TO Laestrygo: Firstly let me commend you on your handling of the brat. You showed class and dignity, which itself should be testimony to why Poland is not "crap". Back to your question.. Maybe I can help you out.. since I too had the very same dilemma till today. Answer is simple.. get the P800. Let me explain. I just bought the P800 today for 1400zl (no contract). The cheapest I can touch the P900 is 3200zl. The P900 is definitely the better phone, and much better looking to boot. However, is it MORE than 2X better? Lets be honest, people who are buying P800/900s today are not ones that will hang on to their phones for years on end. Next year, sell off the P800 and get the 900 which should be down to the 1400zl levels by then. (remember the P800 was 3200zl here 8 months ago when I moved to Poland) Considering you will get back at least 700zl for your P800 then.. you spent 2100zl total for owning BOTH the P800 & 900 Vs spending 3200zl for the P900 now.

PS: I'm in Krakow, and if these prices are not what you've been looking at contact me.. since I had been researching these prices.. I can tell you where to go.

Welcome to Esato, sorry to hear you smoke cigarettes, they ARE very expensive in UK, but i wouldnt smoke them even if they were FREE.

But here is a nice little bit of maths, someone in the UK who smokes 20 branded cigarettes a day could buy a new ofline sim free P900 in 3 months if they stopped smoking & put the money in a jar. this would also reduce the chances of their lungs ending up in a jar.
Reminder; milk, sugar, crisps, post letter.
