well in Sydney the best bet will probably be bars and clubs like those up at Kings Cross (red light area) or maybe some cafes around Bondi etc
can't suggest much more than that myself...
I guess once you get in wit ha few others in the same situation there then you will soon find what is going on

How about factory work? They often pay more dont they? And is it hard to get?

can't comment any more than I have and wouldn't have a clue where suitable factories are as I live there and only work in IT.
Must be others here who have done what you are going to do...

Hi, I just read about your trip to Aus. Have you gone yet.. I am looking into working-living and possibly going to school in Australia (Sydney actually) for a year. I was wondering how easy it was to get a Holiday working Visa? Do you have to be sponsored by a company before you go? Can you hold more than one job-a few part time jobs maybe?? I am planning on leaving around July of this year(2004). Also - I am a Graphic Designer, if anyone has any info on getting a design job in Australia that would help too!!! Thanks |
