I'm writing a letter to Sony Ericsson about some problems and about exchanging my phone, do anyone here know the mail-adress to Sony Ericsson in Norway?

4-1 and 3-1 ?! I dont understand! Is it software or hardware dependant? Plus will it be supported by the networks? I mean the speed will improve with the same network conditions? Hey i need an answer cos sometimes the connection's so slow, it s*cks! Thanks.

Ah! Sorry, I forgot to ask also: how do we know if the slots are 4+1 or they remain 3+1 after the upgrade! Thanks again.

snottra > You might be right. But from what I've been told its a 4+1, and that might be wrong too
Actually I dont care much about it either, hehe,..because it wont matter that much. As You say,..it depends on network.
I know that my network does not work with 4+1,..its more like 2+1 or 3+1.

About the "upgrade" of timeslots just by software-upgrade.
I havent got a clue if this is possible or not
I'm not that much into the technical/engineering part

Another thing is, wap2.0 works far better than 1.2.1. And apparently that can be upgraded through software alone,..thats nice

If i'm not wrong the Trium Mondo was software upgraded to support GPRS, but of course it was "GPRS capable" when it was first released.. So i guess it should be possible on the T68 too.. Or at least not impossible..

Yep, it's official that Wap 2.0 will be in the upgrade-software for T68m. But I'm wondering if the time-slots can be upgraded, I believe this is a hardware-based thing, and I don't really know about the possibility of a upgrade.

I just hope that my T68m will be JUST THE SAME and be able to do JUST THE SAME as a T68i. If not, Sony Ericsson has dissapointed me a lot, since they claim that the T68m and T68i are the same phone, and only the design and colour is different, as stated in their FAQ!

Crossing my fingers and hoping for the best on this one..

The upgrade will give the 4+1 time slots, read the conversion faq on SE site, it mentions the adding of a p channel to the gprs. This is the extra packet data plot. It doesnt mention wap2.0 but i hope its in

The helpdesk in Norway faxed me a statement they recieved on last friday that clearly states (among other things) that Wap 2.0 and xHtml WILL be available in the upgrade of the T68m. But it didn't state that the time-slots would be upgraded to the same as T68i. Hope what you say is right!!
