Well, I just purchased the T68i over my T39m and I don’t intend to buy another phone unless I can get surprised with some more awesome features. The polyphonic ring tones sound great, and the larger, more color display is also another good feature. But come on, in another 6 months, we’ll have another phone with a hell of a lot more features once again with stereo MP3 ring tones (Imagine how annoying that’ll be)!
They already make PDA’s with 206mhz processors and 65,536 colors, I don’t see any reason why they can’t pull off a phone with those features (Ok, maybe some problems with making it smaller, hehe)? The price is just about the same as the new phones. I bought my Compaq IPAQ for the same exact price as my T68i. Also, this new Nokia phone is incompatible with my PDA (So are many other Nokia phones), so I don’t see any future for me in purchasing this phone.
I was a Nokia user before, but the features sort of died out compared to the T39m (Tri-band and Bluetooth was a big thing, still is, and I travel a lot). SMS might be slow on Ericsson phones, but it still gets there.
As much as Nokia might be on top on the market, they are certainly lacking major features (and new features). JAVA does not impress me.

The only thing I like the 7210 over the T68 is the better screen resolution!
I am just wondering if the nokia also support picture CLI? |

i think that 7210 is better than t68. more features but i hate the look. anyway, i won't change my phone cause i think it won't worth the money. I am from greece and the service points of nokia here are awfull. I always liked the nokia phones, but i felt idiot when i saw new phones comming up with a little upgrades every month. I hope they'll change their marketing plans. And imagine that i cannot right more than 70 characters using T9 in Greek with SE (damn unicode). But, let's not forget, they are the first in market, so they can do what they want. I was wondering : think of nokia releasing T68, and after 2 months releasing t68i... could we upgrade to the new software??? well, maybe when SE will be the first in market, they might become as stupid as nokia...

and one more thing: a lot of nokia phones are getting destroyed in the service points here in Geece. My phones (Nokia 6150 and Nokia 7110)were destroyed when i tried to go for an update to the service point, and they had the nerve to tell me that the phones were destroyed before going to the service (and i was on warranty of course). I had to lie to get new phone for free (I told them i was a working for a magazine making new phones' benchmark... xaxaxa). Nokia will have to release THE GREAT PHONE OF ALL TIMES to make me buy it again... |

well... They could design a beatuifull, small, lightweigth phone with bluetooth, triband, tft screen, stereo high quality speaker, and lots of many unusfull stuff. only one thing... You will need a car battery to make it last a day |

Things have certainly changed!
Nokia now makes phones which have tons of functionality, but look ugly!
SE now makes phones which have less functionality then Nokia, but LOOK GREAT.
I must admit, I am a bit dissapointed with my T68i. It's not THAT great. The screen resolution was BAD, not poly, no Java etc. YES in some areas the T68i is great because it has Bluetooth and e-mail client, BUT COME ON, don't u think Nokia will put this into the phone?
The t68m AND EVEN the i IS AN OLD PHONE ALREADY.
If SE want's to do something with Nokia, they have to come out with a completely new phone. Not that big thing they just showed pic's of, but a NEW T68i sized phone that can beat the new nokia back were it belongs, the rubbish bin.
BUT I'm happy with my new T68i, IT'S DAMN SEXY (and for god's sake, this is a phone we are talking about!!!)

For me personally, the fact that the 7210 has a better screen with more colours and maybe a better resolution is not convincing enough. So what if it has a better screen? I am not gonna watch DVDs on my mobile phone... so I do not care so much...
As it concerns JAVA... I strongly believe that it is a waste of time and money. 1) JAVA is very badly implemented (not well integrated) (personal experience from my SL45i) 2) There is a lack of some serious and usefull applications, and 3) no matter what, a mobile will never be a PC...
So... the overall winner in terms of specs-capabilities is still the T68i
PS: The T68 can be equipted with the communicam.... but, how about 7210? |

@Ikirimis
The 7210 is the first Nokia phone to implement a new type of port, which will be used to connect up to other hardware, when released, in the future (sorry i'm not specifics with names and such, but I can't be arsed to go and look at it on the Nokia site!). So this means it probably will have a communicam of sorts to complement it sooner or later. |

How about TALK TIME:
7210: 4 hours
t68i: 12 hours
(7210 has exactly 1/3 of the talk-time of a t68i)
STANDBY:
7210: 240 hours
t68i: 390 hours
Guess that the better resolution uses a lot of power... |
