[quote]Could SE put in Java in our phone?[/phone]

Sure they probably could. But not in this phone
They seemed to have had quite much trouble putting MMS there already, so don't ask too much

Ok, I would definitely prefer to have Java than Bluetooth. Maybe they should have done something on this side... But I guess the problem is rather on the hardware side. T68's UI is somewhat "slow" (e.g. sms) and it seems SE has done some SW tricks to correct this in the T68i, but I don't think any SW trick would allow for Java to run on T68's hardware (??)

Though, I wouldn't be too surprised to see the return of T68i with Java support. But I don't think this would be too smart, and quite loyal towards their customers...

Just to clarify what hymie wrote above. mophun is not a Java VM. mophun is a VM that is explicitly designed for game performance.

To do this the phone (the bluetooth) needs to comply to certain bluetooth profiles, such as LAN Access profile- client. The T68 does not comply to the Bluetooth LANP profile.

That bluetooth profile thing seems complicated.. I'd like to read more about it.. Anyone that can recommend any links to pages where I can learn more?

I know its a old post but could not help myself

Blutooth for info on how it works try www.bluetooth.com

all the guidelines are there

but as for as the LAN profile goes its a shame the t68 does not have it but what it does have is DUN profile that allows wap sync over bluetooth for outlook

Surely the memory issue is not that big a concern on T68. You can make simple games well under 100kb not exactly graphics intensive! Imagine good brew pac man and defender etc... Yummy :-)
