I'm paying my providers £4 a month and they promise to give me a free upgrade (after 12month) to a phone better than my current phone.
As i have a P800 i'm in a good starting position.
My only thought, is who decides that the phone is better???
with any luck something like the P900 will be available in the 9month.
Heres to hopes

i think the p800 is pretty good. just took it on holiday and had great fun. sent mms to the only person i know with a mms phone (t610 - yay) and sent pictures of me on the beach to various people by email and took all my holiday snaps on the p800 (i'm happy with them) and dealt with all my emails and had various files of information i needed and they were on my p800 and sat in cafes and read a few (4) ebooks and texted friends and actually spoke to a couple and emailed friends in far off places. i was happy. and as regards the weight - well it was a lot lighter than carrying a phone and camera and book and set of notes around with me. ok its not perfect but its pretty good to say the least. if i lost it i would get another! |

IMHO, P800 is the best combo phone in the market at this moment. Unless you are willing to wait for the P810, might as well get yourself another P800.
Just my 2 cents worth. |

It's either Ipaq + T610 or T68i, or a P800; forget the Nokias.
I went for the P800 option - what you need to pay for a decent PDA, i.e GPRS, memory etc, AND a phone to go with it, just made the whole project too expensive for me...
Going with the blue Hog was the right choice for me.

That sounds interesting, a £48 upgrade!
Can you tell us some details? Is your phone in-contract still? Which provider? I just got my P800 on orange (couldn't wait for the possibly-mythical P900) and am impressed, but in 12-24 months then there will probably be something I want that it doesnt do!
So you don't get to decide which model? They just tell you? What if you don't want what they offer? |

I sold my P800 and got a T610. The calender function was the most useful for me on the P800 and the T610 version is pretty good. The P800 was a day phone (office Phone) it was no good at night when out on the "razz". Always afraid I'd look and find I'd cracked something. Maybe the P900 will be out in a few months.

Dont expect much form the n-gage... the 6600 can be a good replacement for the P800 though. But you'll miss the touch screen. |
