Hi Guys,
I need a new phone after my P800 was nicked.
Now, I liked the P800 but there was something tacky about it...
So, basically could you recommend a new phone (similar to the P800) that is available or will be available soon?
thanks, tribble |

How dare you come on here and ask such a question.
Go and wash your mouth out! Shame on you!
But seriously though, you may wish to wait for the new P810/P900.
But realistically there ain't nothing out there as sophisticated as the P800. And yes I do agree with you that the P800 colour scheme and the cheapo plastic leave a lot to be desired. But after having it for about two months now I luv it.
Now don't ask such impertinent questions again! |

After trying this piece of art for 4 monthes now, and I also tried the nokia.... I find myself reverting to the p800 and I don't think there is any other tool that can match it at least for the time being.
Anyway how can you come here and ask this question ?

Better mobile phone than P800? NONE. As of the meantime, P800 is the creme a la creme, the best in mobile/pda phone so far. Just my 2 cents. Have a great day.

Something else to replace P800? That would be Handspring Treo 600.
However, the screen is not as big as P800 and I think it have no touch screen.

If I was you m8 go and get your P800 again...If you do get sick of it sell it when a new phone comes out that you want. The P800 is still the BEST!

FYI the danger sidekick mentioned above suckes donkey D*#K. it has no bluetooth, no touch screen, no speaker phone, no upgradeable software, no external memory cards, no hi res camera, no quality ringtones, no picture phone book, well i can go on and on.
the only thing they have that i would like to see :se incorporate is the thumb keypad. that is a great tool

My girlfriend has the Sidekick and it's cute and useful, but it's poor as a phone and is no match for the P800 in terms of functionality. |

I understand what you are saying about having a PDA and phone working together. This is a better solution for many people who live part of their week in business or work mode and will carry both their PDA and phone with them and then leave their PDA at home on the weekends when they go out. If I was going to have that setup, it would probably be an iPaq 5550 and a T610.
For a lot of people a combined PDA/Phone is the only answer and it is just a matter of finding the best available. At the moment I would have to say it's the P800. There are a look of good phones out there which I would say are smart phones but unless it's got a touchscreen then it doesn't have the functionality I need for me to consider it a good PDA Phone.
It's just a matter of what people want.....

for now, P800 is tops. But is you are willing to wait possibly until the end of the year, then you might want to check out samsung SGH-i500 or the SGH-i700. You is symbian based and another palm based. |
