That seems a good idea to check the thing.I am going to try this. But I am sure it is not a network issue becuase I bought the P800 only three weeks back and I am on the same contract with the same network and I never had this problem before. Also none of my friends who are on the same network using different phones don't have the problem either.
@Oferlaor
Are you in UK and are you experiencing the same problem as me or a different one?
Any one else experiencing the same problem?

Anish,
I'm on O2 - UK and I have a P800 at R1D software.
I don't get this problem to the best of my knowledge, I'll have a play around though and let you know.
**Update**
Right, I've just checked it in my work (I have four desk phones on different systems) and I can see what Anish is talking about.
I can definitely say that this is feedback from the P800 earpeice into the microphone 100%. It is not a network beep being passed back.
I cannot see a way around this, the P800 has a very very sensitive mic on it, unless can turn down the receive sensitivity I don't see this being resolved I'm afraid.

So if we turn down the speaker volume does it help? Or is this happening internally?

Normally what happens is that any tone generated by the phone should automatically be removed by the phone's echo cancellation software. However, we know that this is a problem with the P800 due to the way that ringtones can activate voice commands.
In most phones, and certainly in a phone with handsfree support, all the necessary software to handle the suppression of any such tones is already installe,. so SE should be able to fix this sort of issue.
Now, the question is how we convince them to do that alongside all the other things they need to fix!

Nope, I've just turned the speaker right down low and it still seems to occur.
Leave it with me, I'll try it tonight with my Bluetooth headset and report back in the morning.
This is an intruiging one.
I also tried it with Vodafone and Orange SIMs to ensure it definitely wasn't a network issue. |

Hey I tried your method (calling from another office phone) with the silent enabled and it seems to work (Correct me if I am wrong) but then the problem is if I use the silent the other person can't hear what I am talking
