I feel good. What's the fuzz about?
The finnish giant would never even give you an upgrade in the first place, but release a new phone instead. Be happy instead, must be hard to be so pi**ed off all the time.

I feel a little cheated and have lost a bit of respect for Ericsoon....
I really love my gold T68m, but I think I'm going to sell it (I can sell it for 450$) and I can get the T68i for 475$ so I think I'll do that... otherwise I'll have to wait until May....
I'll then keep my T68i and when I get sick of it I can always change the cover and battery whenever I want

I like the design of the old T68 better than the new 'i' look! So I will just sit tight and wait for the new sw-version! I really prefer the rubber backside of the T68m.

Hmm, I have both T68i and T68m.

I didnt like the i-model when I first saw it on pictures,..but in real life its quite different, better looking and a good "feel" to it.

I also like my T68m, very beautiful phone, and will probably keep it as a "second phone", also because its kinda "rare"

I can understand why people want this new software,..its very nice with a lot of features.

Its easy for me to say, that "I can wait", because I already got one phone with the software. It makes it easier for me to accept.
I just hope it will come soon to all you guys and girls

Surely, I want this software too on my T68m. And I'm gonna get it as well once it arrives.

Are you also noticing that the new sms beep is a bit lower than the old on the T68?

Have you also noticed that the soundlevel between 2-4 is the exact same? (I have gotten this confirmed from two other users, how about your set?)

Another question if you don't mind: My set is clear white in the upper left corner of the display, but in the lower right corner the display is darker.

Is you screen perfect or do you see any of my problem on your set?

Hey

Soundlevel is not the same in my phone. 2 and 4 are very different, as they should be. All soundlevels are different on my phone.
2 is low, but 4 is much higher.
I'm using my own emelody, dont know if this could mean anything ?

I use the SonyEricsson logo on mainscreen,..it seems to be white all over.
It can look darker in the right corner, but I think its only because the battery-icon is dark/black.
Or maybe its the blue backlight that makes the bottom of screen look darker ?? I dont really know ?
My "contrast" setting is normal/in the middle

Then the screen problem is probably explained and I concider it not faulty on my device.

About the soundlevel; I find it strange. Three phones at my local reseller has no difference between level 2-4 at all. I have also gotten the same response from anoter T-68i user on this forum. I have only tried it with the "built in "low" ring tone on the phones in the store. I've tried to change ring tone on my own but still no difference between level 2-4. 5 and 6 is very louder though. Could you try it out with the "low"-named ring tone and see if you still have different levels of 2-4?

You're right,..I tried with the ring tone called LOW.
Here 2-4 are the same, 5 is different.

This LOW-ringtone is probably made this way,.so that its always low, I guess.

My other ringtones work fine, e.g. Mission Impossible, using this one right now

I've noticed that the screen/icons are much brighter/sharper on T68i,..where the T68m screen/icons is more "blurry/faded" in colors.
Thats probably also a reason why the screen looks different.

The colors are more "seperated", if You know what I mean

Yeahh it seems like it Your welcome.

I havent been home much lately, so I havent had the time to "study" the manual with all this new stuff yet.

Think I'll have a look on the "Themes"-thing on the SE-site.

I did try the phone on both wap and email,..wap works faster than usual,..email works fine too
Also used T68i with my laptop and bluetooth pc-card, going on the internet,..worked great too.

So for now, there doesnt seem to be any "problems" with this new little baby

E-mail is much faster now. At least with my serviceprovider. Before it took up to 15-20 seconds before the mailbox was found; now it takes way under 10 seconds.

While studying the manual, note that sms messages now have options for different text styles. Very neat indeed.
