T300 firmware |

I am sending my T300 in for a repair in the US of the volume slider (hopefully they will keep it under warranty). I was told that they would upgrade my firmware with the latest version when they send the phone back to me.
(a) Will they upgrade me with R3B even though I have a T300
(b) regardless of what firmware they upgrade it with, will my pictures, games, contacts, profiles be deleted during the firmware upgrade? |

@setgbert: Most likely they will be deleted. If it doesn't during the upgrade process, then it will occur when they perform the master reset. Before sending the phone for upgrade, you should have specified that you wanted your phone data to be backed up. I also don't think that R3B for T300 has been officially released by SE.
@exodus: how's your phone performing after that split-personality crysis? ;-)

@sethbert: they won't update your firmware to the R3B, since the latest official release for the T300 is R1G001. I just had my phone upgraded today.
I didn't specifically ask for a backup of my settings, but when I got my phone back, all my settings were intact. (Including phine settings, phone book, SMS inbox, ringtones, pics and themes).

Notice any improvements in your new firmware? |

I don't see very big differences.
One unimportant thing I noticed is that the standard message sound changed from the previous version (originally my phone was a 'James Bond' special edition, so maybe that has something to do with it).
If you miss a call or receive an SMS and you don't notice it immediately, the clock will still mask the 'missed call' or 'new message' popup. I was hoping that one would have been fixed.
For the rest I'm eagerly waiting for R3B to become available for the T300 (calendar + sync possibilities, so we can use the SE software to sync the phonebook). Hope they don't let us down on this one.
