@ simion_levi: you can transfer much than a 3mb file to the 3650!! indeed you can set the MMS card as default for the message memory! so if you have a 128mb MMC card, you can send a 128mb file to your 3650!! I've a 16MB MMC, and I already have transferred a 14mb file to my 3650 with the bluethoot connection!!

Hi Gatevital!
Thanks. I am playing polyphonic midi file on Windows Media Player. Where do I see the list of instruments? |

Windows media player cann't do that, I saw it on a program I got free with my sound card whitch I have lost, though if you download mobile action hand manager for something like a t300 you can see and edit midi files on it. |

Hi!
Can someone see the document available at http://www.forum.nokia.com/Forum/Common_Templates/FileDownloadThankYou?fileID=3298&fileURL=aHR0cDovL25kczEuZm9ydW0ubm9raWEuY29tL25uZHMvRm9ydW1Eb3dubG9hZFNlcnZsZXQ/aWQ9MzI5OA==
Detailed tables (1a,b,c and 2) given at Nokia Discussion Forum shows that Nokia 3650 can play up to 128 melody instruments and 47 percussion instruments. Then why should Nokia 3650 not sound better? Do these tables prove that Nokia 3650 has more midi cords than SE T610? What is the catch, if any? |

The nokia 3650 has 24 note polys compared with 32 on the t610. This refers to the number of instuments that can be played at one time, the other figues you have found are the amount of instuments in the phone.
Why can't I be happy with one phone? |

Hi!
May be you are right. But don't you think that there are very few polyphonic ring tones that play more than 24 instruments at the same time? So theoretically, should it not be possible to play on Nokia 3650 most of the ring tones available on the web? Can someone also have a relook at the 4 issues I raised yesterday on the same topic (it is past midnight in India now) and give me some more inputs? |

Any midi file will play perfectly alright weather it has one or twenty four cords or any where in between.
The phone does not have theams as such but you can change colour scheams from a pre-set set and change screen savers and wallpapers. |

I have checked up. It is now clear that the only seeming disadvantage in Nokia 3650 is also non-existent. I am yet to hear a polyphonic ring tone that plays more than 24 instruments at the same time. And as far as number of melody and percussion instruments that can be played on Nokia, the list is really very long (128 + 47!!!). Please read my previous messages for details. |

Does it matter about all that? Thing does mp3 ! cd quality tunez...
Im gonna have to check up on this phone, I didnt know it had a memory slot, cos u can buy 256meg and even 512meg media cards now.... cheaply and shove em in I guess... + if the cameras better and it plays mp3/divxs..... I checked the covers today and its not that big/bulky I reckon.... considering what features it has.
Anyone got any info/reviews of opinions on the 3650?

actually, the t610 can also play the same number of instruments.

The 3650 isn't as big as you'd imagine, I'm going to get one as soon as I have the cash!

Im definatly gonna check into it also!
I dunno if theres a phone with a comparable price/performance to T610 accept it does have a media player with Mpeg4(divx?) and supports mp3s! and has a memory slot.
Isnt it somewhat obvious the Nokias the prime choice?:)
Im looking at it from a newbie point of view... heh |

RP2x: The 3650 does NOT play Divx movies. It does NOT play MP4 files properly either. Realvideo, yes, but definately NOT Divx. |

Ahh cheers, did think it didnt... on the spec list it does state Mpeg4 playback.... maybe they meant MP3.
