If u do it carefully, it will not scratch the case. A credit card is plastic, after all and has no pointy edges. It should be alright provided you don't press extensively hard (that would leave a scratch I spose and might also break your credit card...)

Not the faintest sign of scratching because the casing aluminum alloy is so much harder than the plastic. Prepay top-up cards work also well!

I got a T610 and tried to remove the vodafone labels by the above method but nothing worked... The credit card method was hopless for me no matter how hard i rubbed. Some labels must be harder than others.

My Solution. You need a material that is harder than the label material, but softer than the aluminium otherwise it will scrape your aluminium cover. I found that a ceiling rose is perfect. A ceiling rose is the housing around some lights...(espically bathroom lights)... the bit that attached to the ceiling. It is round, with a thread in it and is available pretty much ever electrical shop, hardware shop, supermarket etc.. Cost about £1

It is made from very hard, very brittle plastic and if you break it you can use a sharp edge from it to scrape the label off. Works perfect. Try this if the above methods are not working. Some labels come off very very eaisly, and other dont.

Mine came off with my nail in 10 seconds.

And the case is not aluminium so be carefull, I wouldn't rub it with anything harder and sharper than a credit card...
