i know this has been brought up before, but i have tried the anil polish remover and eraser methods and they havent worked to remove the vodafone logos on the phone case of the t610, are there any methods which do work? (i gather from looking around the posts that in different countries, they use different methods of branding, i, however, am in the UK)

The acetone does work. You'll just have to persevere, and bear in mind that it's more the force you use on the q-tip than the acetone that does most of the work. 30minutes vigourous rubbing will see it off - well, at least it has on every Voda, Orange & T-mobile logo'ed handset that i've come across (and yes, that does include the Voda T610.)

That leads me to two questions:
first, does SE sell faceplates for the T610, because I can't find any, anywhere... I'd like a blue one...
second, @simion, what are the news regarding Voda customization?
Maybe this could be a sticky, or a flashing item, as some of us are interested in the answer...

Hi,
in germany you can rubber the logo away. We use a rubber from the brand "Pelikan" (it has a red and a blue side). When you use the blue side you can rubber the logo away.
Sorry for my poor english.

You could just buy one without it in the first place.

so not vodafone then, cause i find them overpriced and too red (& of course the customisations >:-(), i like blue though, but have problems with orange. This may sound like a maniac, but i dislike the colour orange.

I got rid of my T-Mobile logo this morning.
It was the easiest thing in the world to do.
Just soak some cottom buds in your girlfriend's nail polish remover and start rubbing away. It only takes about 20 minutes.
This has no effect on the aluminium case. |

20-30 minutes with nail-polish remover ? *LOL* Try using your nail or a creditcard for 10 seconds, that will remove the logos. |

Not free GPRS on PAYG, although they told me that it would be, when I rang them up at the start of June - twice, the lying bastiches. I carefully explained I would be using a PDA and/or Laptop, and they told me yes, fine, subject to fair use policy. I said great!
Then I noticed that they had been charging me, anyway.
Subsequently had some amazing conversations with Orange CS with them telling me that GPRS is WAP, and when that one nose-dived, they tried; well GPRS is free, but it's your ISP that charges you, which is why your credit is being used up. When I informed them that they were my ISP, and asked them what it would cost me if GPRS was "not free", they started telling my that it was only free on Orange SPVs and not if you're using a PDA and a T68.
Sheesh, what a freakin mess, and the customer gets the shaft for their ignorance, as usual. Why they didn't make it clear and plain that on PAYG only WAP over GPRS was free from June to August, is beyond me.

on the note of network providors, I tried to take my upgrade phone back under a 14 day return policy to a vodafone shop becuase 1 - its faulty, and 2 - i can't afford to keep paying ludicrous Voda bills (and 3 - theyve gayed up the T610, stil annoying me, even though its in its box)
but anyway, o took it back after 15 (maybe 16) days because i have been at uni in Birmingham and got the phone in windsor, and they wont accept it.
Question: does this mean im stuck on voda for the next year??????????

Over the past two weeks I have come to own the most extensive collection of solvents in one liter bottles in attempting to remove the damn Voda logo!!! My nail did not work either. And now this idea about the credit card!!!! I got the logos off in five minutes!
God bless you my child!!! May the Lord bring the finest of the mobile phones to your hands!!!
