If this sounds like a good idea, please let me know

Wonderful idea! Especially if you'd manage to find some info for the T610 as well...

lol, well I guess it is to be expected that many many people wish to override their stupid carriers' simlocking tendencies, I shall help any way I can.

So I will make a page devoted simply to unlocking T68i's, so anyone in the US/Europe can do it for under 30 dollars. Just gimme a day or two

AT&T is about the worst cell phone GSM provider on the planet. The customer service lacks people with a clue. I called them about the p800 and they actually told me that such a phone DOESN'T EXIST. I laughed so hard I nearly peed my pants, when the woman asked why I was laughing at her, I explained that I have it in my hands and if it didn't exist, I must be committed to an insane asylum immediately.

I talked to a SE rep who told me that cingular and t-mobile are LIGHT YEARS ahead of AT&T when it comes to technology.

Im just trying to figure out a way of turning the SMS when you have a voicemail off...

lol, i totally beleive you about AT&T's severe lack of customer service knowledge...i've been an unfortunate customer for 4 years now and know what you mean.

Thanks for the comments on my T68i unlocking page everyone, but please feel free to continue to give me suggestions so it can be improved

What does "unlocking" due? Is the phone itself locked or the sim card?

Also why do you have 2 pin codes on a sim card?

"unlocking" usually refers to SIM unlocking. The SIM card is not locked, rather the phone has a network lock on it that prevents the phone being used with another networks SIM card. Thus when you "unlock" your phone, you are able to use any SIM card from any network provider.

sorry, I dont know about the PIN codes

Well done, nice effort!

One of these days I want to unlock my T68i so I can use it on either T-Mobile or AT&T (currently I have AT&T). Thanks for the info regarding the os and internet connection requirements. So I have to use my old win98 box, not my XPpro machine, huh? And it sounds like I will have to disconnect my cable modem and use my 56k dial-up to get the software. Interesting.

Oh, and how's the weather there in Hawaii in August? I'll be in Waikiki for a friend's wedding - can't wait!!

Thanks again for your helpful web page.

^ the weather in August? LOL....same as the weather in May, or December -> warm, sunny, chance of mild showers, all year round

Thanks for the feedback on my simple site, appreciated

I have a question for Esato users, does anyone have experience with flashing, upgrading the firmware in your T68i, through remote servers, ie online?

....people are now asking me about this, and I figure it would be helpful info to have on my site, Thanks
