Any difference between its 65k color screen and an existing 4096 screen?quality?lighting?color hues?texture?
Is the screen TFT or STN?compared to a samsung colord screen,w/c is ok?
Thanks.

I've also had the oppotunity to try the T610 from a friend that works at SE. In my opinion the T610 screen is just as good as the Panasonic GD87 screen. I think it's a STN screen (don't know though), but there seems to be no lagging or ghosting like on the T68. The colors are really vivid and bright, and looks good.
I haven't tried it outdoors though so I can't comment on that. But if it is like the T68 then you just have to make sure that you let the sun hit the screen directly and then it is clearly visible. |

Note: I might be mixed up something....... I have tried two T610s totally and one with quite many self-defined stuffs, and one with just one self-defined photo. I checked one phone that with 300 - 500KB (I cannot remeber the exact number), but hadn't for another one.......So I may mix them up. Sorry for my misleading information about the memory left for users.
But the ~15KB = ~50KB in phone memory is true (at least in all T610 I have tried today) |

There is another thing in T610 I hope Sony Ericsson can improve:
The "dialed", "answered" and "missed" icon are quite confusing for users. The icons of T68i are not good also but are still better than the new T610's. An arrow to the left means answered and arrow to right means dialed............ It is really confusing and inconvenient for me to understand. |

Why don't you guys who know people at ask them about this problem and tell them to do something about it. Can't they include a defrag program for the phone? |

@Gustaf,
I don't know any Sony Ericsson staff or manager....... I hope someone from Sony Ericsson here can pass all users' complains to the designer and engineer.... I have sent many emails to them and spoke out the problems, or even list all the problems I found out in my own website. But Sony Ericsson seems still are not willing to listen or even consider at all.
Or they are playing some marketing tactics so they just fix ONE problem in a new phone, to make all their new phones surprising? It may take them about 10 years to fix all the problems if it is the case. Yet at the same time, customers may turn from Sony Ericsson to other manufacturers.
@totings,
I am quite disappointed. Yes, I am not as excited as before, it is true. The memory allocation problem really shock me very much once I realize it......... For the level of the interest....... DOWN DOWN DOWN! Now I'm thinking whether to buy it or not......... or buy SX1 instead.

Hey Guys, just prepared a LIVE video of SE T610 from the same roadshow in Hong Kong. In the clip, you can see the process of taking a snap shot by T610. Also, you can see the speed of storing a picture.
The LIVE video is on Quicktime .mov format, and about 5MB.

I think there is no perfect phone in this world. It is unlikly that SE will make a phone with all the stuff that u want that is found in the Nokia or other brands. Then it will not be a SE phone rite? Give and take. Maybe when it is release and start using it then u will find it better. Commenting it as a waste, a bit too early right??!! |
