ahoo, sorry! but as the pictures that p800 takes isn´t god for nothing else then been showed on a mobile phones display, i think that the QVGA camera is enough! |

Tough choice. If you want a phone go for the T610, if you want a smartphone go for the P800. The P800 isn’t as large as you think (ever since Nokia threw us back into the stone(brick)age with the 7650 size doesn't matter) and considering your a tech freak it should suit your needs. Me personally, I'm going for the T610 (when I start my own company then I’ll get a P800).

How is the camera function on the T610? How's the tracking? Can it be compered to the 7650? How much memory does a photo (large as well as small) take up? Thanks in advance for the info. |

yeah, it really depends what you gonna do with it. if you are just gonna use some basic functions and talk, there's no reason to get a p800. on the other hand, you really wouldn't need a t610 either, lol.
it all really comes down to how you see how you will see yourself using it.
for me, the design alone on the t610 is enough to win me over. |

ok tnx you guys......I have made up my mind and I decided to w8 for the T610. What irritates me though is the memory. 2Mb is way to little for a modern phone with camera function.
I beleive I wouldn't be relaxed with a P800 in my pocket a late friday night when I'm under the influence of alcohol, i't just to much money in my pocket

The camera function on the T610 is quite good. The screen viewfinder works very well and the screen updates are quite fast. The taken pictures looks good on the phone (the screen is just great), but I don't know how they look when transfered to a PC. Actually I don't know how much memory a picture take (I didn't use it for that long), my guess is between 10-20KB (but that is just a guess) |

if you'e gonna be pairing it with a pda, go fot the T610...... but if not go for the p800, because the t610 has half the memory of the 7650 and 7250.... How could SE miss that part... they should have thought of a memory slot or something.... And the fact that the t610 isnt actually that portable, because its bigger than the 7250.. sucks |

Hmm.. as I've said before I think that the 2MB of the T610 would be more than enough. The camera doesn't have that high resolution anyway. And the java apps and Mophun games are pretty small. Espacially compared to the SymbianOS games and apps. Sure more memory is always better. But I think 2MB would be more than enough for most users.
Hmm.. you are wrong about the size. The T610 is almost the exact same size as the T68 (I have held the T610 and the T68i side by side) . In fact the T610 is a little smaller than the 7250.
T610:
102 x 44 x 19 mm
95g
7250:
105 x 44 x 19 mm
92g
So your statement about the T610 not being as portable as the 7250 is pure nonsense. |

ok maybe youre right, the t610 is as portable as the 7250.. but with almost the same size, how did nokia manage to have a 5mb phone without compromising looks, size and other functions such as camera and others, while SE, with the same features, size, and bad looks, managed only 2mb memory... 65k screen- the only advantage of the t610 over the 7250, correct me if im wrong... both of em is java enabled right?, so I wouldn't think 2mb is enough for it.... That's just my viewpoint. |

Looks is of course individual. But when I tried the T610 in real life I have to say that it looks very good. The curved sides of the phone gives it a really nice look. It is very stylish and looks professional, which in my opinion can not be said about the 7250 (which looks like a toy). But of course that is just my opinion.
The T610 does not only have 65k colour screen, it also has much higher resolution than the 7250 screen. And the colours on the T610 is really vivid and bright, and there seems to be no visible lagging on the screen (at least not what I could see... and I did look for that quite closely). The T610 screen is lightyears better than the one on the 7250.
As a camera phone the 65k colours compared to 4096 colours makes a huge difference.
Also features wise the T610 beats the 7250 easily. Where is bluetooth on the 7250? Email-client? Picture-CallerID? Wap 2.0? The T610 has both Java & Mophun (which is much better for games). The T610 has 32 channels polyphonic ringtones (AFAIK the 7250 only has 4 channels, I could be wrong on this though).
Then we have "standard" Nokia limitations like not being able to transfer pictures etc. to other phones/PDA's via IR.
Last but not least the T610 is cheaper than the 7250.
As for the memory, sure more memory is always better, but considering the amount of stuff that you can have in a T68i with only half of that memory 2MB will be more than enough for most users. |

well, I guess its incomparable with the 7250... But the memory capacity really puts the phone down.... try reading this comment on the t610: http://www.esato.com/board/viewtopic.php?topic=25955&forum=2 |

Da_WiZ!
No, no, no, no, noooooo! Surely there can be no argument? Buy the T800!
If you're gonna wait for the T610, then do that wait so as to buy the T800 cheaper!
Steven.
(Gonna get me that T800, oh yes! T68 for the meanwhile...)
