It won't have t9...
t9 costs money.. Why would they spend money adding a feature that was not on the specs list.
It could perhaps have Ezi(like the r600) text or some other less expensive predictive text thing..

Lets hope that there would be t9 (+ video capture/recording ) in the next upgrade...and im hoping that the Mineral Grey p800 comes out sooner!!..Whether or not u like t9, its optional..it'll always be there if u need it..It doesn't take up a HUGE amount of memory anyway.

And a freakin' UNDO. Who thought of a computer without an UNDO option?
**Sigh** Still, I love my P800. And I make far fewer mistakes these days. I have no choice!

The text input system is modular, more than likely it will be available as a commercial add on.
The same as a video recorder.
If SE keep giving everything away in updates, it stops developers bothering to make these things as applications.
This is one of the reasons the Palm platform is so popular with end users & developers. Palm gives you just enough to make it a useful device, but they have left the door open for developers to make it "really" useful.
I believe this is what SE have done with the P800. |

There is some software already in existance (and a P800 version is due also) which acts very much like T9 when you are using the stylus. It also comes with a dictionary. Saw details of this on one of the other BB's but now can't find it (typical!!). I'll carry on searching and will post deatils when I find it. |

@tranquil,@Ally I've talked to a Danish sales rep 3 weeks ago who said that the next update propably not will include T9. SE instead wants to offer videorecording. The sales rep also said that the next update will be available on the net, so that we don't need to go to a servicecenter! Great!

About time to have updates available on the Internet! If Siemens does it, why not ?
Between T9 and videorecording, I prefer without a doubt, the later... I guess coders are having problems on building an app for video capture, but sooner or later, that app will be available

T9 is not an extra feature.
It is already standard in most standard phones today even the T68i (and also other Symbion OS phones like Nokia's 7650 and 3650)
Some of us still use it as a basic phone.
Other niggling missing features include a shortcut for Add Number to Contacts.
With the T68i, I can look at my Call List, highlight a phone number, press the Shortcut and get the option to add that number to my Contacts List.
The other small feature I find handy is to have a shortcut for Send SMS to when browsing the Contacts List (instead of searching for it on the Contacts folder). Think Nokia phones have this feature too.
All are just great timesavers IMHO
