I just talked SE Customer Service, and they said the software after this most recent one(R2A16), whatever it will be called, is considered to have T9 on. For those who are interested...

Here in Philippines, I believe, T9 is useless. We type words in their "shortcut" form..

I love T9, each to their own. It is the one thing i really miss about the phone. Being able to send a text easily with one hand.

@tranquil
I talked to SE Customer Service today around 1:00 pm and asked the guy who is responsible for technical stuff and knows what he is talking about and not just a customer service rep, whether or not we will have T9 ever and he said that it is being considered to have it on next upgrade! However, "being considered" of course does not mean that it will be realized for sure... I just wanted to share this info with Esato community! Like some of us said, let's hope so...

@Ally Thanks, that's what I wanted to know. Too often members start a rumour just to get attention you see. Peronally I too hope SE will add T9 to the P800. That is the only thing I miss on it.

If you hate T9 then just turn it off, it helps us who prefer it and you guys who don't like it can just switch it off!

SMS delivery reports is a fact in the new firmware upgrade, so lets hope for the T9 as a little detail that tech people "forgot" in the fisrt place

It would be also a killer to have video capture/recording in upcoming upgrades...

According to users who have had the upgrade, the SMS delivery option defaults to "NO". You have to go in and change it every time to "YES"

So the bottom line is that it's still useless if you send a lot of text messages with the flip closed .....
