The only nokia phone I like is the 8850 because it looks awesome. But I prefer ericsson phones, guess it runs in the family.
And hell, no other phone even comes close to the t68. |

the phone i owned before my T68 is a 3210..
flashback:
August 1999
i bought a 5110. it was what most people had here in the philippines. it was BASIC. i was only concerned for something that could send an SMS (since it's cheaper than a call)...
September 1999
i went to class, saw my classmate with the then-new 3210.
it had animations and stuff like picture messages..
i was awe-struck.
i sold my 5110 to my friend and bought a 3210 (a month after i had a brand new 5110).
January 2002
my 3210 broke down, and was useless (til i got it repaired)... and as i was in the repair shop to get my 3210 repaired, i saw a picture of a phone with a colored screen. it said Ericsson T68. i was skeptic about it.
when i got home, i checked the homepage of sonyericsson and went on to TRY THE PHONE that same day.
it was then when the fashion-oriented became feature-oriented.
just sharing.

NeO > You're missing the point here, or You misunderstand what I'm trying to say :
"Why say something bad about other brands at all, when speaking about your T68".
Does it make people feel better, if they can say : "my phone is better, yours stink !"
Yes, the T-68 is a nice phone, and it might be the best,..but everybody knows that already, and still people keep on telling how bad other brands are.
I dont buy phones, so that I can tell everybody how bad their phones are.
I dont care what others think,..I didnt buy my phone to "show it of".

I have noticed that people seem to want to reinforce their opinion that buying a T68 was the right idea, and to prove that they disparage other phones. As if abuse of one thing makes the other better, and therefore they themselves are clever because they got the "top" phone. Some of these same people are now upset that the T68i has been announced, as it "seems" to make their phone out of date and second best (even though it is basically the same thing). Or they announce that the T68i is "ugly" so their phone is better.
I bought a T39, and must confess to a certain disappointment that I didn't wait until the T68 came out, but that is the way of the world. Everything you have now will be superseded eventually.
Finding out that Ericsson now make better phones than Nokia (feature for feature, at this moment in time), and then getting the good phone early makes people feel good. Exclusive even, and they try and emphasize that by pointing out what is "wrong" with Nokia's. I don't think it proves anything, other than how insecure some people are. IMHO |

Andrew > thats exactly what I think too.
Also the part about being insecure,..so this gives someone a "kick".
I think that one should be critical, but also constructive, and look at different aspects,..not just the usual sentence :
"Mine is better, yours is worse".
I'm being critical too about products,..but I always explain "why" I dont fancy a product,..I never just say "mine is better", or "the other brand is worse".
I get so tired of hearing that sentence.
A few minutes ago I wrote almost the same thing as I do now.
In the "other manufacturers" forum there was a topic on Nokia 7650,..and "of course" the comment was made : "the p800 is better" or something like that.
Well, fact is :
1. we werent discussing the P800.
2. No one has really tried the P800 yet, so they wouldnt know if its better.
3. One doesnt need to compare everything,... things can stand alone.

I had the Nokia 8850 and 8890 and it's crap! (nothing against Nokia :0)) I'm just saying that the functions are crap on it, cos it was MORE expensive than the T68 but all it is, is a 8210 really....
I then had the 8250, which was better cos you could make your own melodies...
Just sharing my thoughts thanks for listening |
