was clearly told by orange wirefree that the 10mb was for access via orange wap gprs profile after complaint and was refunded the money for browsing through opera after stating that i was mis-sold the product.

"Other useful tip is to set the option to display a connection dialogue for you to confirm the choice of connection before connecting."

go into any orange store (l have been to 3) and it cleary states access pack not on new p800 connectlons. On upgrades it is allowed but any sites visited NOT on there access control list charged @ standard gprs. Saw it clearly on the pricing matrix when I asked to see it.

You guys also might wanna double check your bills as I was told there was a mistake on the Orange billing system meaning they were charging £7.25 a MB instead of £3 a MB for access via the orangeinternet APN.
I too am in the process of getting a complete refund for last month's orangeinternet (POP 3 etc) access, but the customer services rep I spoke to said that the Access Pack should cover my orangeinternet access (which we all know isn't meant to be the case), so I could wait for next month's orangeinternet GPRS bill to come in, and complain again as I was told I would not be charged... |

Well I took out a new contract to get my P800 on orange and found that on my first bill the access pack had been added without me asking (not that that bothers me since I wanted it anyway!). The access pack is definetly available for the P800 and I'm fairly sure it includes all data transfered via the orangewap APN, which does have certain functions blocked (like POP3 e-mail).

ill wait for my £160.00 phone bill and let you know. I have always had the profile set to Orange GPRS WAP. Is there anyone from Orange who can clear this confusion up.
It seems that nobody actually knows, even Orange themselves!!!!! |

I've just got my bill with the infamous £7.50/mb !! only been charged for one meg but i've asked for it back (the full amount, they were gonna reduce the £7.50 anyway) i complained that i was told it would all be covered by the access pack and im getting a call off the recalculation team (or whoever they are) |

I've just received my first orange bill for my P800 and I managed to get all the GPRS internet credited to my account! After alot of phone calls to the wirefree helpline they didn't really know so I just left it and rang them up and they credited it no problem at all! Just make sure that if you want the access pack to access the WAP set it in your browsers preferences and watch the GPRS counter until it gets to 10 MB and you'll be ok! |

Hang on a sec...I got my P800 a month ago with the free Access Pack for 3 months, and I thought it was for WAP surfing only through the Orange WAP gateway (Dial-up). Are you saying that I can use 10Mb of GPRS for free each month too? I know this has been discussed before, but there seems to be conflicting answers - does any know the truth? |
