Tell me about it. First got interested in this phone when I read about it on the register almost a year ago. Will buy when smalltalk or osps get stock, or somewhere else with similar prices...

yeah it has been a long wait for me as well.
I bought my T68 already thinking on the P800 all the delays just help my love/hate relationship with the P800

I will try to wait as well but I am just tempted to ring orange 2night and go for the upgrade...aghhh life is complicated

Cpw told me in store that it was £200 on upgrade, I think, which is not bad. I'll be switching from O2, unless the phone is available as cheaply with them.

Although I am sure that they have no idea when OSPS is about to get their stock, I phoned today and was told that they will receive their stock early March...

Even though I know it's a blatant lie, I order the £129 package @ £30 a month...

If there is a god, please send me my P800 - PLEASE -

@Fahed_2000 - dealers get their commision from orange after 3 months - the higher tariff you start on, the more they get - or they will get their basic plus the difference if you have moved to a higher tariff - if you downgrade, they can bill you for the difference in the RRP of the handset, as they lose a % of thier commision - which is used to subsidise the handset. & very cheap it is - there ya go [addsig]

ok, so can someone make it very simple for us stupid people!?

If i buy a P800 for £34.99 on £40 a month tarrif, when can we change the tarrif down to a low cost one?

Also, i was thinking of buying one for just internet and email access (Keeping 7650 on o2 for voice and sms) is it possible to have a GPRS only tarrif? No voice?

Similar pricing to smalltalk at www.mobileshop.com . Got my R520 from there 18 months ago. Since there's not much to choose between them price-wise, I'll probably go with whomever gets stock first. Unless the new phones announced this coming Tuesday sound much better...

I asked the O2 people and they said they will not be getting it at all.

Just spoke to one the salespersons at OSPS and was told 'the stock was meant to come yesterday (i.e. 28/02/2003) but hasn't. It should be anytime this week.'
