Can you other guys who had a problem with the file try and do what JAYV did and remove the extra spaces at the end of the lines (this seems to be a problem with cutting and pasting the text from Internet Explorer). See it it works then.
I agree with you JAYV, it seems (from my tests so far) that the P800 ignores the vibra commands but it gives a playback error on any backlight or keypad flashes. It would be better if it just ignored all of the things it can't handle in the ringtone that it can't handle.

Jayv and digithed,
thank you guys so much. Actually deleting spaces did work and it finally has worked. But i got another silly problem. It is not saved in my music files!!! how come??!!! i saved million times and it never shows in my filed, unfiled or all saved files!!! how come??
cause when i sent the file on email as a notepad file. it has ring.imy.txt does that have to do with it since it doesnt really end with imy but with txt???
nevertheless, i was able to listen to it when it was right downloaded but the problem occurred when i saved and it never appeared on my saved files!!!
thanks

Dont have a P but I'll take a crack. Yes, the .txt may prevent the file from being saved in the audio folder. On your computer, right-click the file and select Rename. Delete the .txt but leave the .imy on the end. Send the file again to the phone and it should automatically land in the music files. At least my T68i recognizes imy files and knows to drop them in My Sounds. Hope this helps. |

Try 1 more thing. Open the file again in notepad. Click File > Save As... Now here's the important part: toward the bottom of the save as window, make sure Save as type: is on All Files, not Text Documents (*.txt). For kicks, give it a new name like "ring2.imy". Send to phone. If that dosn't fix it, then its beyond me. |

Did this too. First it didn't work, but removing the blanks at the end of each line fixed the problem. Thanks Guys! |

It sounds like your windows explorer might be set to ignore known file extensions. Open Windows Explorer, and go to Tools >> Options >> View and uncheck the box that says "Hide file extensions for known file types". If that is already unckeched then when you save the file in notepad save it with double quotes around the name like "tune.imy". This will force notepad to discard the .txt extension
hope this helps...
