OK I am seriously considering getting the Siemens S55 now. I have one last query. On my SE T65, T9 text input is extremely slow and very annoying. What is the T9 input speed like on the Siemens S55? Is it as fast as a Nokia 7110 (instant)? Thanks in advance. |

T9 on S55 is faster then on a T65 but the S55 of my friend has some SMS bugs. i would wait or get another phone.

Due to the fact my parents are buying the phone for me, and they can only buy it from one catalogue, I have a choice of either a Nokia 7210 or a Siemens S55. Which do you think is better and why? |

then i would go for the S55 if you don't like the T68.
the S55 is better then 7210 in most ways. |

I am a little concerned about some reports I've been reading about the S55 where button presses havent been recognised by the phone. That cant be good. The only other gripe I have really is the screen. I've had a play around with the Nokia 7210, contrary to what most people think on this board its actually not a bad phone. It has all the features I would use (I dont need bluetooth, not for the moment anyway) and the screen is good. Can't say I have had much luck with Nokias though, thats why I am contemplating getting the S55, seeing as I've tried Nokia and Ericsson and havent been very impressed with either really. |

if i had the chanse of choosing between those 2 i would go for S55. 7210 nice design but after awile its boring. 6610 is better but the functions and the nokia in the phone bug me.

At least in Sweden you canīt beat the S55 when it comes to features per $..
I havenīt noticed any "SMS-bugs", itīs very fast and responsive, the only thing "wrong" in my phone is that the left key-row (1,4,7,*) require slightly harder pressure than the other keyes. (Is that perhaps what you meant by keys not responding?)
Finally (my opinion) The Nokkie screens look water damaged to me.. no saturation whatsoever! I was in Vodafonestore yesterday and did a side by side comparison and the 3800+ colors in the Nokia sure didnīt show! The S55 screen is in no way perfect but itīs at least as good as the t68i and thatīs good enough for me. I also like the fact that the S55 doesnīt have a flimsy creaky replaceable shell. The choice wasnīt hard for me but in the end itīs up to your personal preferences i guess.
Cheers!
