there is an asterisk missing in the sequence, it should end with * try again, when the service menu pops up, select Service settings, and then the first option, it says something like 'Charge activated'. Good luck with the phone...

Hey,
how long does your Elm batteries work when charged to full, on average basis?
When giving reply, put whether you use 3G, GPS, WiFi, how much do you speak over it, play games etc., while giving your numbers...

Thanks!

on normal base like 20-40 sms, 10 minutes call and 1-2 hours of music listening i can get my elm's battery stood for 3 days.
uh, on gsm only.
If i choose gsm and 3g then it will shorten the batt which last for 2 days.

I use mine quite heavily for high speed internet over gprs connection and via wifi, I also use bluetooth a lot for music and calls via my cars stereo and also for streaming music to my headset. I can get at least 1 1/2 - 2 days out of my Elm.

It's a crying shame Sony Ericsson doesn't make a cover for their fastport...
The contacts of my old K750i's fastport turned green from oxidation!

Does your Elm ever show "The battery is full" after the battery stops charging ? Mine doesn't. And sometimes i charge it (over the night), wake up and there is just 98% or 99% battery full, i reinsert the fastport and after a while sometimes I get the message "Error ! Disconnect your phone from charging " ... ??

It looks like it... The only way to get around with it is to buy an extra battery. Purchase one from Timtechs and I'm satisfied now.

It will never stay at 100% for a long time, because as soon as 0.1 % or so is drained, it will round 99.9% down to 99%.
