@Garyc, i had a t68 bought on o2 & the "hide my number" option was in the menus in the "calls" section so it could be set as a default once only, for all future calls.
Then when i put an Orange network sim in the phone that menu was missing & i had to do what you said (set it up for each call individualy) so it may be a network dependant setting rather than a phone problem (each network can choose to include it or not).

I tried the menu/calls, the options are greyed. Maybe my firmware is not updated? I can use this feature in the Nokia 8310. So it is not network dependant.

The only thing I don't like about Nokia is that they're way over priced... and they know it... they actually get to sucker people into buying their cheap phones for more than double of what they're worth. That's it actually.

They make decent phones... but not for the price they sell it at. Gimme a break, the 8910 costs almost as much as the P800 with less than 1/4 of the features!!! A mobile phone is NOT jewelry... even under the Vertu brand. It's a piece of technology that will become obsolete in 4 months...Nokia's "technology" is obsolete from the very start! I mean... even Intel doesn't sell obsolete technology at a high price... Nokia does.

If they slashed their prices in half... I'd feel like they were ripping people off a lot less. But hey, that's business right? There's one born every minute...why not take advantage right? At least that's what Nokia does. THAT is what I don't like about Nokia. Product wise... they're pretty ok. Kinda like Toyota... except they price themselves like a Ferrari.

As far as i am concerned, those that know about ericsson and sony ericsson...the reputaion....and everything....they go and use ericsson.

its like word of mouth and just generally there is little SE advertising......so those that do use SE...like us lot...generally know that its better..

i hope that made some sense....i couldnt quite phrase what i was trying to say.

I just loooove SE (Ericsson) ever since.

Never had a NOKIA, but hey, probably 'cause i'm smart.
Hate the menu design (you never know where you are, or what's the previous/next menu item).
Hate everybody saying "Nokia is the best phone, you can change faceplates" (?!?!?!?!?), "I like nokia 'cause i can send images" (?!?!?!?!?, you call that images?)

What I dont like about NOKIA is that everytime they cook up a new feature/function they make a new phone for it. They dont make it into a bundled up phone. Purely marketing strategy.

Why I bought a SE in the first place:
Because I am a non-conformist.
SE also stands for Superior Equipment.

Nokia phones are just stylish on the outside but dated inside while SE phones have the latest technology embedded within them. Even some of their older phones can still compete with the most recent ones feature-wise.

I just hope, in d future, SE will have Future SMS sending. I think the N9210 is able to do that.

with SE, u get what u pay for...
money well spent...
im very impressed with the quality of all ericsson fones i've owned...
great support from SE in terms of firmware upgrades, they don't release an "i" model if a new feature or functionality is introduced to an existing model, my T68 was upgraded, for free (under waranty ofcrs), to a T68i... excellent after sales support from SE...
i also like the way they categorize their fones (high-end to lo-end) according to the number of features on the fone... i havn't seen them release 2 high-end models at the same time with minor differences on features in each unit...
