Remember we're talking about light quality since this is related to flash and not the W902 cam module per se. The blur as my edit earlier suggests, is not always bad, especially when you can't even see the face of the woman from the back. If anything, it enhances the actual situation giving it a certain dynamic. It's a sports day and it's nice to see things 'move' instead of keeping still
I happen to know a lot of people with DSLR's who disable their Xenons indoors to get a closer feel to the actual atmosphere. They get blurry pics, but they also get what they want in return, the real deal.

*edit*
Of course, this is purely academic, I would settle for an Aino with Xenon if there was one and disable it when I feel there's no need for it. But frankly, I don't feel like I'm losing much right now, and of course, my current W995 can outperform the above W902 photo any day where cam quality is concerned

Well I suppose it's how different people prefer photo's I want photos exactly as they seem if you were standing in the room and although it's darker it's still sharper and I like having detail in pictures. Of course everyone is different and has there own style of photography. In action photos I see what you mean about having blurred images but I believe that can only be successful with decent cameras. In the second photo, it just looks like a camera phone image and the 'blurred' effect does not work.

You would need a xenon flash large as a car to light up that room completely i think.

The led has 0 effect also and if you had shot the scenery with the flash of on the real digicam the shot would look different i think. The real digicam with flash off would look much better than the led phonepic.

You can see the range of the real digicam flash by looking at the people close. They look sharp and nice but the phonepic looks bad all the way and people who moves gets blurred out. Totally useless most times when people moves.

Of course, I made the comparison as a reference point for the lighting conditions, the W902 wasn't the best example but it was the only one I had to compare, I didn't realize the whole cam module would be under scrutiny as well so I took the liberty to share some more indoor moving shots with a didgicam without flash to further demonstrate my point

Some sharp bits and some blurry bits to give it a complete picture of the event, that's how it should be. Sharper is not always better

If it had a 12mp it would have cost 100$ more
I think the only thing SE should have done with Aino is a screen resolution of at least 320x480 like the iphone, and that's why I bought the Satio instead
