you could try hard-resetting it via OS update OR wiping the handset?

If not, I'm selling a curve 8900 if you want it

Ask Nanu all about the Bold and not being able to do things on it, it'll be an OS issue, update or downgrade the OS and you should be fine

have re-installed the OS - not resolved

Just downloading the original Orange os from the RIM website - got over an hour to wait!!!! Oh no wait it's just timed out!!!

If that doesn't resolve it, I guess it's back to Orange for a repair?
But will the fact that it's been unlocked cause an issue?

The answer to that is yes, IF they notice.

The original OS vs the installed OS shouldn't make any difference.

Well it's all been downgraded to the approved orange versions

I guess will have to try it with an orange sim and then off to the orange shop for a repair

If I try and call it (when the sim is in the Bold) I get 'Calls Are Not Currently Being connected to this number' which I'm being led to believe may be a security failure caused by blacklisting

I've PM'd SEP990i to see if he is aware of any issues

I've guessing if he's lost his phone and had the sim blocked they may have blocked the Bold as it will be the phone registered on his account. I've had this happen to me ages ago with orange

Hi everyone,

I have just picked up on this and have rang orange, there are no problems with the phone as far as they are aware and I haven't reported a stolen phone.

I would recommend ringing blackberry first? They may know something that Orange don't. Only reason I recommend this is because I've sent phones to orange for repair and they take forever!

Hi Mate - have pm'd back

It's not looking good - I think it's been blacklisted over the weekend somehow as T-Mobile have now confirmed it as blacklisted

Not going to enter into finger pointing as I know the network operaters can mess these things up
