Well I do prefer to sacrifice some features for the awesome ui found on se's. I only have to push 6 buttons to send a (blank) sms to someone. Plus they have proper multitasking, even on feature phones.

Yes, I like the SE UI too, thats why Im keeping my Sim Free T700, but on my contract upgrade the best SE had on offer against the new LG Arena was the C905.
Why would I want to get a C905 instead of the new LG Arena?

Says who? I have never ever owned a touch screen phone before, only just about every T and K series phone from SE, so how do you mean that touchscreens is my thing? I would assume from past purchases that SE phones are my thing, so why do I not want a C905 at all, and why exactly any I drawn to the LG Arena?
Several reasons:
- Better features
- Better screen, touch screen or not, it is still 3", 800x480 pixels, and 16m colours
- Looks a lot better
I want the better, most technically up to date handset, I couldnt care less who made it or if it is touch screen or not, but a better phone is a better phone.
Touch screens are hardly anyones 'thing', but they are making such a strong emergence this year and SE have been left far far behind.
Imagine if the opposite was true - SE was the only phone manufacturer to have a good touch screen phone, and no one else did, or lets say that the LG Arena was actually an SE phone instead. Fans would be jumping up and down over SE's technology leadership, over their touchscreen, and rejoicing and waiting in queue to buy one.
Well, thats not the case. SE have fallen far behind technically and are now having to rely on dedicated fans rather than actually having any competitive products.

ITs a natural tendency of a person to be bored of something where they have sticked too long. Thats why for you SE is same and old. For me its Nokia since i have stayed with Nokia for far too long, and every offering of theirs brings nothing new to me, besides the design.
Goodd luck with your LG.
