So which does it do, skip track or change the volume at the same time while surfing? Can you pause too? Of course it can't do all that and perhaps now you're beginning to realize what all these extra features are for. W902 can do that, because it has something called DEDICATED music keys. No matter what the situation or how you're multitasking, you can control your music independently without having to go into Mediaplayer. That's like having a dedicated walkman player with buttons just for music and music alone which is heavily used by music enthusiasts. Perhaps entry level users like yourself see it as a gimmick because you don't go beyond listening to your downloaded 96kb mp3s with you handsfree headset.

Don't the W902 and the W980 already share the same acoustics - Clear Stereo and Clear Bass, etc?

Just tried, it does absolutely nothing to the volume, SE were very smart at implementing this, i hold the volume button in and the track changes, click the volume button then it effects volume. Considering the fact that he has a Play/Pause button on the W610 as well means he can Play, Pause, skip, go to previous just like you can, even when the keys are locked the volume rocker doubles up as skip/previous.

I thought 902 had smaller screen than that - 2" maybe

@goldenface
W902 & W980 do share the same accoustics but there's some differences in the audio input as tested by GSMArena which may be hardware related.
@GUCCI.011
That's interesting. So you mean to say the volume can be accessed independently from the keypad? Can it fast fwd or rewind too? If the answer is yes then I concede that what neogeo feels with regards to dedicated music keys is justified but in no way do I prefer hardware shortcuts to dedicated keys simply because it's prominent tactility and positioning as well as clear functions enrich my audio experience and optimises functionality even more

If so, I wonder how the W890i would LOOK like I still like the THINNESS of the W880 back then . . . I guess it's the THINNEST fone ever produced to date |

Nah, they cant fast forward and rewind, i do get where you're coming from, my Nokia N81 is currently in repair and i miss having its Music keys and full remote control on headset. All i was doing is pointing out that SE have a sort of substitute but i do agree, its better to have a full set of dedicated music keys.

w902 with w890's casing material would be great..
Oh btw, I heard w890 is very solid in a built quality, and how about w902?
