Nokia N79 or C905? Please advise |

Well thanks guys for all your advice and opinions and I guess since the N79 ain't a strict Camera Phone but a Multimedia Phone, one wouldn't expect too much from it. But since it's camera is acceptional in some sense, its good enough to put a smile on my face. The C905 has got a great camera but I'm not totally convinced its the best out there, even though its got a 8.1 megapixels camera. I think I'll go with the N79 after all |

Hi everyone. The Nokia N79 has finally reached our shores in South Africa and it looks like a very nice phone. I don't think there's any reviews done on this phone as yet but I was wondering if anyone here has had a chance to play with the phone or has any knowledge of the features of the phone. I currently have a K850i and want to upgrade. The C905 is a great phone but it seems as if it is similar to some of the other great 5 Megapixel phones out there even though it has a 8.1 megapixel camera. I want to make a choice between the C905 and the N79. Any information or description of the N79's features and advice would be highly appreciated.
Thanks

Keep in mind, when you capture night shots with your n79 they will turn out blurry and most of the time not usable at all. Smartfone features + nice music quality n79 would be the choice i guess.
Ordinary phone + much better camera SE c905.
So, it all depends on your phone usage/preferences. Some like design, some features, some just Apples. |

It up to your lifestyle
more flexibities but plasticky and some weak LED flash = N79 [Symbian]
less flexibities but overall did not miss important phones feature
better grade plastic and strong XENON flash = C905 [A200]
play with it both, it don't waste your time trust me!
and it better than only listen comment.
and last thing trust yourself don't listen seller too much.

@NoroBiik
Thanks for the review, it explians the phone's features more in detail and besides the "not-so-great camera", the phone takes great videos.
@K.
That's exactly how I look at the two phone's. The c905 has a great camera, looks great but has the common features. The N97 on the other hand has the "not-so-great camera" but takes great videos, is loaded with many features that'll send some of Nokia's competitors packing.
So I'm all for the N79.... |

good choice, you won't be disappointed with your decision. The n79 is a great all-round phone that can basically do anything in a nice small package. |

Hi Driftmania, do you also own a N79? If you do, I want to know whether it supports 'Shake It!' or 'Flash Themes or Wallpapers' lake the Sony Ericsson phones? |

I had one and it does not have "Shake it", but there is an accelerometer and the screen does change positions when you move the phone. No flash themes either. |

why do you choose the N79 over the N82?
For those who believe no explanation is necessary, For those who don't none will suffice |

Well the reason I'm goin for a N79 and not a N82 is coz I don't really like the phone's packaging. The buttons are a bit small, similar to the K850i, which are not user-friendly especially texting for a long time.
I know the camera as well as the Xenon Flash are some positive things on the N82 but that's just it, when I compare it to the N79. The UI and the Operating System on the N82 is not as advanced the one you'd find in the N79. What I also don't like about it is that its a bit bulky.

I have a N82, but most of the applications are compatible. There are no Flash themes or wallpapers unfortunately, but with the Flash player, you can have menu overlays like this. you can also have Flash screensavers like this. |
