I went into P4U once and enquired about the price of a phone. The guy sat me down at a desk and started filling out a credit agreement on his computer. He started getting rude when I refused to give him my personal details. All I asked was a price.

no way!!! CPW are terrible...

Yes - they pounce on you in the store...

They Lie - about what they are offering... 'you won't get better than that elsewhere' BULLSHIT...cpw contracts are crap compared with what you get going straight to the dealer...

People should learn to cut out the middle man, you don't need cpw!!

And the staff at cpw in general don't know there phones.... on the last two occasions whilst getting a handset demo, i had to help my sales assistant get get the battery cover off the phone and even operate the menus. Its embarrasing for them.

i find vodafone very good in store though, they are always very friendly, helpful, know there stuff and are even willing to negotiate in store over contracts. =)

I think all networks should follow the lead of Vodafone and have in store repair centres in some stores. Vodafones is very good. When i had a contract with them last time i sent in my W900i for software problem. They text me everyday on my loan phone telling me its progress each day. Now thats service.

I have had the oposite experiences with both CPW and Vodafone.
My local CPW have never lied to me and have been the best price on several occasions for the phone and tariff that I wanted (I always shop around a lot before actually purchasing). Vodafone service for me has been terrible in my local shop. I asked a guy about a 2 months ago if they had the Blackberry Storm in yet. The store was quiet and he was doing nothing except standing in the door way. He had to put me on a waiting list for someone to find out. I was waiting 15 minutes in which time he did nothing else except stand around. I walked out.
BTW I have nothing to do with any networks or shops.

well for the first time ever i came away from cpw yesterday feeling a little annoyed at one of the sales team said to me!! over the years ive must have spent at least a couple of grand with them (im a phone addict ) anyway we was out shopping and popped into cpw (not my local one i normally go in) picked a phone and was in process of paying for it when seeing my past buying with them turned to me and said " you do know because you bought so many from us in the past" (me thinking oooo im going to get a bonus) he carried on " you only really allowed to buy no more than 2 phones every 3 months" what!!!?? err when was this i ask seeing as it had never been mentioned before!!

"oh" he said "thats our policy to stop bulk buying" considering i only buy 1 phone when i do buy a phone...so tomorrow im going to my local cpw to get the pink blackberry on payg and lets see if they say a word (which i doubt as im on first name terms with the staff there lol) but it really annoyed me as ive always considered cpw excellent contary to what some think
always look on the bright side of life...de dum..de dum..de dum..
