From the SE website:
"The C905 Cyber-shot™ will be available in three colours (Night Black, Ice Silver and Copper Gold) in selected markets from Q4 2008. It will support the following networks:
C905: GSM/GPRS/EDGE 850/900/1800/1900 UMTS/HSDPA 2100.
C905a: GSM/GPRS/EDGE 850/900/1800/1900 UMTS/HSDPA 850/1900/2100
C905c: GSM/GPRS/EDGE 850/900/1800/1900.
I just found out that the "a" version is not officially listed for the USA, only central and south america.
You can get it from Plemix.com but I'm not sure if they have the C905a so you'll need to ring them first. They are trusted by esato members and regularly post mini reviews of new phones.

The C905a cleared the FCC today, so hopefully it'll be available for purchase soon... I think the C905 was purchasable within a week of it clearing FCC.

does anyone in the usa have the C905i?
how is the Edge speed? since we cant get 3G yet?
was it able to handle voice while still connected to internet?
can load and play youtube vids?
Hows the GPS?
thank guys I hope this is not to much too ask. I am sick of waiting for the C905a I think I'll just get the golden C905i |

Well according to the latest Rogers 2009 lineup of phones leak, they r getting the C905a Q2 2009 |

C905a now officially listed for US availability in English and Spanish versions.
Definately get the a version. The i will be so much slower. HSDPA on both versions is capable of 3.6 Mbps maximum speeds. EDGE won't satisfy at all.

This getting a little ridiculous for us in the states that need the"a" version. Was cleared by FCC 12-11-08 and most phones are available within 2 weeks of being cleared. Wonder what the problem is.....?
