Miyagi can you please drop the ders and write correctley I hope you don't write this when your instore, I know this is a forum but as a employee you should be writing punctionally lol

Ps, you keep saying it's Unlimited capped now at 500MB data which 02 offer, however a few months ago it was 200MB, ok so they have upped it but you cannot go over 500MB as Bono has mentioned that you have to pay per MB otherwise so this isn't really unlimited!

Networks shouldn't be saying this it's mis-reading I think!
anyway back on subject im not really intrested in 02 data flaws

Miss UK when have i ever said that I work in an O2 store. So please get that fact right. On a 2nd point where is the proof that you have got that o2 offer 500MB as a limit when it comes to data? They may offer a limit on prepay but they do not offer one on contract. Again Miss UK your talking as if you know your facts but your talking complete cr4p again to be honest.

I really hate people who think they know it all about a network and its products and services when to be honest they know nothing at all about it. And for some reason you tend to get a kick out of talking cr4p again and again about a service that you have complete no knowledge about. Even you you have been pointed this wrong by daedlus and myself on many occasions. As for how i write in this forum why is that of a concern for you?

I to be honest think this personal vendetta you have against O2 just because you got charged for little bit of data long time ago is getting out of controll. Think you have an obsession in proving your right when your wrong when it comes to topics that you have no knowledge about without the complete truth.

FOR THE ATTENTION OF MISS UK THE FOLLOWING:

Data Bolt On Terms

The Web Bolt On allows you unlimited use of Telefónica O2 UK Limited's Edge/GPRS/ 3G networks (as applicable to your handset), for personal internet use via your mobile phone. All usage must be for your private, personal and non-commercial purposes. You may not use your SIM Card:
in, or connected to, any other device including modems;
to allow the continuous streaming of any audio / video content, enable Voice over Internet (Voip), P2P or file sharing; or
in such a way that adversely impacts the service to other O2 customers.
If O2 reasonably suspectsyou are not acting in accordance with this policy O2 reserves the right to impose further charges, impose network protection controls which may reduce your speed of transmission, remove the Web Bolt On from your account or disconnect your tariff at any time, having attempted to contact you first.

The Wi-Fi Bolt On allows you unlimited use of The Cloud’s UK Wireless LAN network (and for iPhone users the use of the BT Openzone Wireless LAN network) for personal internet use via your mobile phone. All usage must be for your private, personal and non-commercial purposes. You may not use your SIM Card:

in, or connected to, any other device including modems;
to allow the continuous streaming of any audio / video content, enable Voice over Internet (Voip), P2P or file sharing; or
in such a way that adversely impacts the service to other O2 customers or customers of The Cloud.
If O2 reasonably suspects you are not acting in accordance with this policy O2 reserves the right to impose further charges, impose network protection controls which may reduce your speed of transmission, remove the Wi-Fi Bolt On from your account or disconnect your tariff at any time, having attempted to contact you first.

more info here MISS UK:

Data Charges
Unless a data or BlackBerry Bolt On is taken, your tariff will include O2 Web Daily under which data will be charged at £3 per MB up to a maximum of £1 per day (00:00am to 23:59pm). Once you have reached your maximum daily charge of £1, O2 Web Daily allows you unlimited use of Telef?nica O2 UK Limited‘s Edge/GPRS/ 3G networks (as applicable to your handset), for personal internet use via your mobile phone. All usage must be for your private, personal and non-commercial purposes. You may not use your SIM Card:
in, or connected to, any other device including modems;
to allow the continuous streaming of any audio / video content, enable Voice over Internet (Voip), P2P or file sharing; or
in such a way that adversely impacts the service to other O2 customers.
If O2 reasonably suspects you are not acting in accordance with this policy O2 reserves the right to impose further charges, impose network protection controls which may reduce your speed of transmission or disconnect your tariff at any time, having attempted to contact you first.
Data usage is measured in kilobytes (KB). 1MB = 1024 Kilobytes (KB), 1024 MB = 1 Gigabyte (GB). If Data usage is less than £1 it will be rounded to the nearest kilobyte on a daily basis, and charges are rounded up to the nearest 1p. You are billed for the amount of data that travels over the data network. Please note that your bill may include charges for re-sent data packets and packets added to control the flow of data over the network.
The prices shown do not incorporate data roaming rates.
These terms apply in addition to your airtime agreement which is available at http://www.o2.co.uk/terms

Any limit mentioned as in 500MB? Nope I don't think so. So where did you get your info from Miss UK?

hang on a minute theres a thread that you say you work for them,
2 ive seen many 02 customers going on that it's capped!

why are you getting so uptight about this if you don't work for them?

and with my ex account data charges yes I wasn't happy cos they offered shitty data when I was on them, they have upped that now but im still hearing issues.

anyway this whole data thing is boring change the subject!

Ok now i am on O2 pay and go and i mentioned on another thread about this. I said before that the 'unlimited' is capped at 500 mega bytes because O2 told me themselves. That is the excessive usage policy for both contract and pay and go. I been told plenty of times and whilst im not a heavy user i only once did go over that limit. One month i was using Google Maps too much and it uses alot of data when you put it in satalite mode. My credit suddenly vanished so i called O2 and they told me i had gone over the excessive usage limit. THATS THE TRUTH. Thats your back up there Miss UK. Lol.

speaking about the i-phone i had thought that all advertisements alleging it to be a 3g handset were banned but i saw one on Channel 4 last night.

maybe i have got it wrong but i thought it only worked on edge and not on 3g? also i thought the ban on the ads was a europe wide ban?

What on earth are you talking about?

The advertisements caused problems because they said you could access the "full" internet. But seen as the iPhone browser does not support flash, a major component in the net experience, (ie. YouTube videos etc.) that claim had to be removed. The advert is now edited, and only banned in its original format.
Its nothing to do with it not being 3G! A company the size of Apple would not release a phone and claim it runs the 3G network but doesn't! They'd be in court forever.

T-Mobile in my opinion have the best network in the UK atm but Vodaphone do have the only 7.2Mb HSPA network running right now. At the moment I am using 3UK but I have used TMo, Orange, and O2.

I think Apple chose O2 for reasons other than the strength of their 3G coverage and I have read reports of people struggling to get a 3G signal.

same here, in my opinion t-mobile is the best tmob is the network in the uk, never lets me down that network, my k660i i jest recived today from t-mobile HSDPA is very fast on that network! I went on youtube took 5 secounds to load the video and the page, even miniclip flash web game's work on that mobile! i played Canyon Defense @ miniclip.com on web'n'walk hsdpa for hours! no freezes only cost me 1 pound for the hole day! And iphone, :S not even java enabled!!!!
