@carkitter, you have a point of course. There isn't such a thing as a perfect phone, and perhaps my judgement has been clouded by the series of issues I've encountered with my two SE phones. Maybe when the dust has settled, I'd be back with one of the new SE phones. Speaking of which, the W902 seems pretty attractive. I do hope it's gonna be launched soon. I wonder if the keypad feels as good as it looks. It's important to me as I text a lot, and it's also why I loved my W810. The tactile feedback of the keypad was great. I'm sure anyone who has used it before would agree with me.

Well my A200 V640i doesn't reset itself at all. It is very reliable and stable.
I have had problems with the Modem function when connected to my laptop via BT, but this is nothing compared to the MAJOR issues I've had with my Huawei HSDPA USB modem (known as a Vodem in NZ). I've had firmware issues with the Vodem, clashes with freeware, and finally hardware issues forced me to ditch it for my V800 then the V640i both of which connect fast and easily.

I have no doubts SE are the best to own even if they're not perfect.

I must be very lucky then. I've not had any problems with my previous SE phones. Admittedly, I've only had 3 of them (K700, W800 and now W890) but none of them have ever restarted or had a fault in them.

My V640i is not currently away for repair, it is allowing me to post this.
All non-modem functions have been stable; it does not prevent me writing or sending txts as some have found. It does not restart when opening the camera function like some K850's. It is not slow navigating the menus. There are no problems playing back video or music. BT file transfer is stable and my Nokia BT carkit & HBH-PV705 headset autosynch well.

This is my 2nd V640i, the first was replaced after the Service Centre butchered it. This one has a similar problem to the first but is able to be worked around. I haven't sent this example in because I don't trust the Service Centre quite frankly. 99.9% of the functions are trouble free so why tempt fate?

K700i was my first SE and led me to Esato via WAP. It developed a problem with restarting during calls, but a firmware update fixed it. I still like that phone and would recommend it if it were still current.

I'm back to using my trusty old W810. Got it back from my mum and sent it for a firmware update. Swapped my K770 for it and I've never felt happier going back to an old phone. It used to have a problem retrieving new SMSes when restarted. I usually had to make a phone call before I could receive any SMSes. With the firmware update, the issue's been resolved. I should never have left my W810. Now I'm happy once again. I've even purchased an extended warranty for it as I feel it's worth the investment.

Well, so having switched back to my W810 for a couple of days already, I must say I've never felt so happy going back to an old phone. The W810 is a joy to use. Having been disappointed by my K770 followed by my Z770, the W810 made me feel good about using an SE phone again. On top of that, I can use my 4gb MSPD instead of my 2gb M2 card. So, I guess that's that for now, I won't be looking for a new phone for a long time I think. To anyone who's feeling disappointed with SE's current offerings, get a W810 while you still can, if you'd prefer to stick with SE.
Of all the things I've lost, I miss my mind the most.

My K850 left me feeling cold after numerous restarts and sluggish operating.

I ended up ditching SE for my Samsung i780 WinMo phone which I use a lot.

I ended up getting a W890 from PeterKay to use as a secondary phone for when I didn't want to use the Samsung and thankfully the W890 is far more reliable (and faster) than the K850 so I know SE can produce decent phones when they want to!

give it another few weeks, and wait for the problems to mount up. that's what usually happens

I've had it for a while now and its still solid. Had to update it to the latest firmware of course, as it was sluggish on the previous one. I find it to be a class phone and even with the same firmware release the K850 is not as snappy so the hardware in the W890 must be a little more solid.

The C905 will be the deciding factor for SE I reckon. If yet another flagship phone fails to deliver then their fate could be all but sealed!
