Don't know if it helps, but I had a problem sending e-mail too.
I deleted my e-mail settings, rebooted the phone and installed the exact same settings again, and then sending and recieving worked just fine. And I have no problems sending mail now.

@Raven

What do u mean with "rebooted" ? Did u a master reset ? I had a memory corruption problem just 2 days ago, So i did reset the P800 and filled in my email setup. Still not working. RX ok, TX same error. I tried to fill in all 3 fields with same address, so the progress bar advanced 'til 50%, and then same error. I am nearly desperate. Tried 3 ISPs, same result.

Found, at last ! I did a *very* stupid move. I was convinced about using email smtp server instead of network smtp server

I have a glitch on my touchscreen... sometimes while i'm writing/drawing, the cursor jumps to the edge of the screen! Very annoying.

the SMS char limit is 160 right? after which you can continue but the message is divided into 2. well i sometimes encounter this when i reach 70chars, but not all the time.

If you put special caracters they take more memory than "regular" ones so they cannot fit in 160 caracters. It has to do something with unicode, not sure what but the same problem was with T68....
