Well I have, or maybe it's just my phone. When I want to take a photo the camera doesn't update the image. Sometimes the phone asks me to hold the power button for 10 sec. When I talked to my mother yesterday it just hung up on me. But other then that it is one helluva phone. Very pleased!!

Any one know the sullution to the problems?

I had a problem is stunt car driver, when my car went of the track, the phone crashed. I also noticed, that when you want to edit a picture in an MMS, to make it smaller, and "lighter", and you press the button to edit it before the picture is loaded, it gives me an error, but I don't think this is really a bug

I am on the mailing list for HongKongShop.net and they sent me the following email today:

_______________________________________________________
Dear Customer,

Please note that as of now, we found out that the SonyEricsson P800
has the following problems:-
1. It can receive emails BUT it cannot send emails.
2. The WAP does not function with all the service providers. With some
it does not
work.
3. When a connection is made from an area where there is no reception,
the software crushes and the phone must be closed and re-started.

If you decide to purchase it is on your own risk.

Price for 1 full set Sony/Ericsson P800 Tri band : US$ 959.00
Handling & Shipping (including insurance) with EMS SpeedPost
(2-4 days) USD 38.00 Totals USD 997.00
_____________________________________________________

Can anyone who owns the P800 verify this, please?

I'm glad to hear that! I don't know what they are talking about! Maybe it works different with other service providers? But one would think that an established company such as SE would have tested the P800 in all networks.

The problem with not being able to send mail is usually due to using the wrong smtp-number. If you copy your setup from your computer you usually use your e-mail providers smtp. When you are connecting your e-mail from your phone, you normally have to use your network-providers smtp -not your e-mail provider.

from looking at the email address (HongKongShop.net) do you think that it just applies for the Hong Kong P800's or does that have nothing to do with it?

I don't know if hongkongshop.net might be members of this forum but I received the following email today to correct the previous one:

_________________________________________
Dear Customer,

We informed you of three problems with the P800.

The first problem, e.g. sending emails should be okay but, we were not
able yet to check it.

The third problem is solved and the software does not crush when a
connection is made from an non-reception area.

Kindly note.

Nope. I used succesfully my other data account other than my GSM provider (and same as my PC) on Z5, T68i and P800 (almost). Still not knowing why it refuses To: @ddresses saying they are malformed
